For sure. It's trendy because starbucks can make a cup of purely whipped cream and sprinkles appear luxerus and appetizing. It's not as trendy as it used to be, but it's still pretty ridiculous. Why spend 5 dollars on coffee everyday when you could invest in your own coffee maker and save so much money. Sure, it won't taste as good, probably because when you prepare you drink yourself you realize how insane it is to use so much damn whipped cream, but that will benefit your wallet and your waist line in the end.

Starbucks coffee is disgusting. Coffee made at home with a decent espresso machine is better than any chain/brand store coffee. You just need proper, good quality coffee beans.

Heck give me black coffee or the sludge in the bottom of the coffee pot from a few days ago. In a lot of ways Starbucks is a prime example of the deskside of capitalism and the negative phycological effect it can have on people. People thinking something is good because of the label or name racemization it has. You can make some coffee at the half the price that is the same quality and taste of Starbucks and pour it into a blank cup. Then sell it at less half the price of Starbucks. Sit it beside the same coffee in a Starbucks cup and charge the regular Starbucks price for it. Sad thing is that coffee in the Starbucks cup will sell out faster. Despite it being the same coffee.

I think their coffee sucks, but I like my coffee black. Most people don’t care about drinking their shitty coffee because they bury it in two pound of sugar and a half gallon of whipped cream. It’s not my cup of joe. Starbucks if for the ambitious diabetic...

+1 yWhile I'm not a coffee person, I've tried a couple of the non-coffee drinks from there and wasn't super impressed. Especially for the price. One item was kinda like a vanilla milkshake it was pretty good but I probably could've gotten a vanilla milkshake from somewhere else cheaper. The other item I've tried, the strawberry shortcake drink "without the coffee" version and it was terrible. I spent $5 on the small and ended up throwing pretty much the whole thing out. So yes, overpriced and over rated from what I've tried so far.

I pretty much look down on people who go to Starbucks. it is terrible coffee that only tastes drinkable when it is loaded with extras and then it costs way too much. The culture around it is also snooty, which is ridiculous because it is the Applebee's of coffee.
10 ReplyIf you think it's just about coffee, yes it's overpriced/overrated. But actually it's also about the brand & people feeling that buying Starbucks makes them special. If Starbucks didn't have a huge logo on their cups and just had a blank cup, I bet you half of their sales would dry up.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yYes I think the coffee is really watered down but it sucks because I like that they offer food and not just pastries and it's my go to when I'm in a hurry. I'm thinking of finding a local coffee shop around me so I can support instead. I used to work there and yeah, the coffee is really weak.
10 ReplyWould you get your caffeine fix out of a vending machine that costs a ton less than StarB's? Like people who take selfies near sheer dropoffs just for popularity they spend more for their caff fix for popularity.

+1 yFAR OVERPRICED!
One of my friends had an interesting story. All of his friends would make fun of him because he got coffee from Mc. Donalds instead of Starbucks, his reason being its far cheaper. He claps back by revealing they're getting ripped off by explaining that both Starbucks coffee and mc. donalds coffee tastes EXACTLY THE SAME.10 Reply
+1 yI think it's the worst coffee I've ever tasted. It's like cheap office coffe that was left on the burner overnight. I'd rather drink the free coffee at Home Depot. Plus, they don't want me to have the right to carry in their stores, and they are woke-tards in most other respects, as well. I respectfully avoid them at all cost.

30 Replyofcourse it is. yeah they are good, but just too expensive. price based just on a brand name. whats even worse, dumb youth promote it and almost glorify it as luxury coffe lol

Yes, Starbucks is way over rated and overpriced.20 Reply100% which is where maccies got its USP from, it goes "we could call it a something-chino with some fancy designs and charge you triple, but we don't, enjoy your coffee"
10 ReplyYes. Starbucks has become something of a status symbol/luxury item. Which is odd, given what they sell. In any case, they are definitely overrated and over priced.

+1 yIt's around the price of other big name coffee shops so I don't think it's too expensive. The controversial thing is how good the coffee is. Most coffee connoisseurs will say it's not good but for me it's alright. I do like their pumpkin spice latte.
10 ReplyYes it is unnecessarily overprice. Especially some coffees, foods..
