I remember when a cup of coffee was a dime. To this day I've never had anything but regular old coffee.
Plus, Starbucks coffee sucks. It tastes like it's burned. My friend who has been in the coffee business for 35 years says it tastes like it's burned because it is. He gave a reason, but I don't remember what it is. It might have been because it lasts longer, but I don't remember for sure. I know my friend throws out his coffee beans after three days.
As far as the map, the colors are ugly. I guess people who drink Lattes come up with faggy colors.
i think where ever you go in the world, starbucks is insanely overpriced for a cup fo coffee.
VAT taxation on food products differs from country to country and Starbucks is a merchandise. It means the mother company sets the price who owns the stores (mostly company that owns the mall or mall chain)
Really couldn't care less. But it doesn't surprise me, that we're one of the most expensive countries on the map!! 💯🤦🏻♀️

I think it's useless, because it does not state the value of each currency when those prices were recorded, so looking at it alone, you can't tell which ones are unfair prices unless you spend a lot of time looking up both the currency exchange rates for all those countries, and when that picture was made and what year of data it pulled those prices from.
I hate Starbucks coffee, so this map tells me that there are fools all over this world!
I suppose they will charge whatever they thing th ecustomers will pay. The swill they sell probably costs less than the styrofoam cup they put it in.
Without knowing the exchange rate and when calculated, the local/national tax, the cost of the space, how available the coffee is/cost of importation, and the labor costs it really does not tell much.
Sadly we have to run Starbucks out of Australia again. We did it once so we can do it again. They are only at airports so not so hard.
Yeah it shows how even coffee flavoured crap like Starbucks can be sold all over the world with good enough marketing.
That people who like coffee should get it elsewhere.
Personally I don't care as I have never used Starbucks and never will.
If I ever need a coffee while out I'd rather get one from a local coffee shop.
It’s cool. I love Starbucks in China cause their drink options are more varied
I think Starbucks is overpriced and folks are just buying into the brand.
Starbucks is doing quite well in the flavors and foods market
Shows me how many consumerist are sheep's. Paying 5x more for coffee blows my mind. People have zero value in money. They continue to make the rich richer.
@exitseven exactly. Me either. I prefer making coffee at home too. Not like it's hard to do.
I live in Turkey and I think the sturbucks price a little exensive for local money (turkish lira) but sturbucks cafes in Turkey extremely crowded. I don't prefer
Doesn't bother me at a.
I do not drink coffee or go to Starbucks.
its all based of coffee supply.
places where coffee grows is cheap.
places which imports coffee is expensive
I guess it’s the value of their money compared to ours and what it costs to ship to their country and other variables
What's the cost of living in Russia? Just curious if that translates to an equivalent or lesser price.
Just goes to prove Starbucks is overpriced swill in most of the world except Turkey.
all these places with "free healthcare" seem to be paying somehow.
Starbucks is so overpriced and over rated. I prefer to make my own coffee.
I think... Greed Sucks :)
Afterthought...
