Okay do not tell anybody I will deny this till the day I die so two weeks ago I made a carrot cake I added reasons to it with cream cheese frosting it was moist if it's delicious I ate it in a day and a half the next week I went to the store I thought about another carrot cake but it was a spice cake damn spice cake I did the same thing I had to get rid of it I had to get rid of it so I could go buy a carrot cake now three days ago I bought another carrot cake I built it that's right I built it I built it in the oven I added more raisins I cannot stop eating it I have half of it maybe a quarter of it left I'm sick I need help I can't do it anymore I'm going to go buy another one soon as I'm done with this one LOL they are so good I love I'll send you a picture if you want you want you're going to want to bite though yeah stupid reach with my Fork I can't stop eating it it's so good you can have some if you want just come over I'll give you some I'll save you a piece but you better hurry because I can't guarantee anyting

When I am craving cake, it's almost always either carrot or chocolate, and I usually end up choosing to make carrot cake. It's so customizable. And it's so easy to put together. I can usually do it in one bowl, by hand. I can use melted butter, so I don't have to faff with getting just the right temperature of softened butter…or I can skip the butter and use a neutral tasting oil, like canola or corn oil…although I have made it with olive oil once (not bad). I haven't looked at a recipe in years; it's all in my head at this point. There's also some nostalgia value. My grandmother would often make a spice cake for after-school treats

Recently had actually, although I cannot eat too much of it without feeling awful or feeling like I’m about to pass out from the large amounts of sugar it undoubtedly contains.


I also like cheesecake of all forms, lemon cake, etc.

When I was younger I didn't really like carrot cake. Almost all the carrot cake I've had there was raisins in it. It's not that I dislike raisins, just when their cooked and added to some things it makes them all lumpy and the taste and texture changes.

Now that I've gotten older I like carrot cake, but I still try and avoid the ones with raisins same goes with muffins.

That depends on who makes it. It can't just taste like regular cake with some carrots in it. It has to have spices in it (whatever those carrot cake spices are) and cream cheese frosting that's not too sweet.

Homemade is usually the best. A lot of store-bought ones are simple spice cakes dressed up to look like a carrot cake. Does yours have carrots, pineapple, raisins, walnuts and cream cheese frosting?
