You cook fruits with addition of sugar, depending how sweet you want your jam. Some fruits contain lot of their own pectin, others need to be reduced a bit and some need addition of pectin or gelatin.
If you have the right consistency put your jam in a jar as long as it's very hot, turn the jar with jar lid to the bottom and let cool it down slowly. This will create necessary under-pressure that makes jars tight. Some bigger jars won't close properly with the turn around method, you need to pasteurize them in a bigger pot filled with water that you keep 80-90C for an hour. When they cool down, those jars become tight as well, bacteria will die due heat in both methods.
It's a good idea to sterilize your jars before putting jam into it.

Boil it down with lots of sugar.
Cover them with paraffin or boil the filled jars in water and cover them with lids and rings. As they cool the lids will pop down indicating a vacuum seal.
Google it. There are hundreds of sites that explain the entire process.
I’ve had that stuff before good stuff mostly made in the mountains
