+1 yI hate olives and anchovies... I had those with tuna once, a family member made the sandwich for me. I don't know why anyone would enjoy something like that and have never heard of that combination before until I put it in my poor unsuspecting oral cavity.
00 ReplyTake your pick, grass hoppers, grub worms, dandelion greens wilted with bacon grease, various roots. Grandfather lived through the depression & taught me to forage at a very young age. I really loved my grandpa so I never questioned it. Gross? Maybe. But I can survive in the wild for extended periods of time if there's ever the need.

+1 yI had a kangaroo or wallaby burger at a McDonald’s in Australia and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever eaten second only to the rabbit I had at a Christmas party.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yWhen we were kids I remember us being hungry and making a Ghetto pizza out of the scraps we had in the fridge. We used a burrito shell as crust. Spread some tomato paste on it. Chopped up some Velveeta cheese on it. And chopped up some hot dogs on it. It was pretty gross. Fortunately we didn't get to each much of it as when my mother saw it she flipped over the table. 😆

+1 yAnchovies. That is some really nasty stuff.
It was an accident too. My dad bought pizza and I didn't realize he got a weird topping. I took a slice and instantly regretted it.00 Reply4.9K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. I am a really picky eater so I have not eaten too many gross things. I was really drunk and really hungry and I was at the ballgame and I was eating a hot dog. I dropped it on the ground and it rolled under my seat. I pulled it out and ate it anyway.

Drank? The fermented root after it's been chewed up by the old ladies in the tribe and spit in a pot and left to... mature...🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮13 Reply- +1 y

@On_cloud_wine
I was training in Ecuador and we were working with a tribe in the jungle. Their "home-made run" equivalent was... a bunch of the women in the tribe sit around a pot. They chew on this root until it's mashed completely and then spit it into the pot. Then they bury the covered pot and let it ferment.
We all had to drink a whole bamboo cup of it.
The first time it was offered we all politely declined. The chief's wife was insulted. So we all had to drink a cup.

Flowery? I’ve never used that to describe food

@On_cloud_wine THAT is what made it gross-tasting.
Um, probably crab or anchovies. I guess it's not that bad in the grand scheme of things, lol.
