Do you pack your own groceries at the grocery store?

Hell to the yes. Old school folks want to not enjoy the self check out lane. I say fuck that, this ain't the 90's, when you could trust real bag men. At the same time old school see it as a "they took our jerbs" mentality. I just want to bag shit how I see fit and have a much faster time of doing it. At least all options are available. Then the kicker is, the greeter/good bye person wants to ask me for my fucking receipt because I might be ripping off half my goods. To that? I say Fuck You. I showed a receipt once or twice before I just tell them to fuck off. Crazy thing is, we have a President who couldn't be a Wal-Mart greeter because he'd show up at Target. Target also does this bull shit of show your receipt, wear your fucking mask, all a person does is say fuck all. Ignore these people. It's actually kind of fun and therapeutic.
Everyone does in my country.
In most germanic countries in Europe there's no one employed to do that job.
Instead people are expected to pack themselves and other customers will *not* be happy with you if you slow down the queue with your packing, and they'll let you know.
Part of the reason is that labour tends to be expensive in Germanic countries.
And it's just not worth it.
I’m kinda lazy about that, I usually don’t even remember to bring my reusable bags. I think that hubby helps out the bagging attendant and generally remembers the reusable bags

The whole idea of having an employee for packing never took off here and so everyone does.
It feels awkward to me to let someone else do it although the time saved is of course a tempting notion.
More or less. I don’t necessarily prefer to, but some stores are still resistant to bagging for customers using reusable bags, which i do. So i generally just throw my choices back into my cart and bag them myself at the car.
Since I usually do self-checkout, I pack my own groceries, as I scan each one. If I use a normal checkout with a cashier, there's usually someone who packs the groceries. If not, the cashier packs them and I usually help her out.
Yes I do. I have a system. I put all the frozen stuff on the belt first, then refrigerator foods, can and boxed goods, then like breads and snacks.
As everything gets rung up I put the different categories in each bag.
At Aldi, yes. At Publix supermarkets no, the groceries are bagged at the register.
Of course. There’s nobody else to pack them for me. 🙃
Yes especially since I use the self checkout most of the time
When I go to self checkout which is most of the time
Absolutely we don't have a choice in most places in the UK
Ofcourse, who else would be doing it?
Yeah, that's how we do in my country.
It depends on which grocery store I'm at.
I do self checkout.
Ummm. Yes or no!
