How often do you shop for groceries?

About 5-6 times a week. In Japan, the infrastructure is such that even the most rural areas typically have a grocery store within walking distance. So we usually shop for groceries on a daily basis. It doesn't require driving and only the most minor inconvenience in exchange for lots of fresh foods. We also have very small fridges here, typically.

Whenever we need something in particular, like fresh produce or fruit. Staples like TP, soaps, etc, are bought in bulk, so whenever they run out.

We usually go once a week. Sometimes we'll make other trips in a week to it if we need something.

I stopped shopping after the pandemic and I would give my parents money and they would buy groceries and then split their buys with me. Before the pandemic, I would shop twice a week. I live walking distance from 3 grocery stores. I would buy groceries as a form of entertainment and it was not purely to fill my belly. I loved to buy exotic cheeses and pastries.

Could be daily, coud be evey 3 days could be weekly, depends of the dish i'm making and if i miss anything, i like to cook instant, not same food every 3 days, so if i'm missing something i'm out the door (as the store is 2min away)...🤷‍♂️

Weekly for the main groceries, sometimes twice a week if I’m needing items from another supermarket, since the supermarkets in my town stock different brands and items.
