+1 yOnce a week. We both go together on the weekend. Friday nights, we plan out our "menu" for the week and then make a list for the market. Sometimes, depending on what we are going to have to eat the next week, we have to make a few stops.
There are some speciality stores that I like to get certain items that you can't find or are not as good at the larger market chains. We combine those trips with all the other errands we run on the weekend.
Usually can get all errands, including groceries, and chores done in one day and then have Sunday to relax or wait for your next question.
We are also pretty quick at the store when we do get groceries. No need to bother other patrons or employees with getting things off the middle shelf or anything like that. Nope, just grab and go.
I cannot imagine if I were short and needed help getting all my items. What a pain that would be. I think that is where we @emiliamazing were going with the slingshot idea for those that are altitude deficient. Just fling yourself up to the middle shelf.

+1 yAs a household, probably a few times a week. With the amount of bodies in our house, we just can't fit enough food in the refrigerator, for an entire week. So we do several small trips. Drygoods is much easier, but keeping some fresh food around requires multiple trips

1.7K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. My wife and I live in a rural area and town is almost a half an hour away. But my wife is in town on most days and often stops for a few groceries when she is there.
She also does a run to Costco and Trader Joes about once a month and comes home with a car full.
I'll do some grocery shopping when I'm out and about. But, aside from her monthly run, were don't buy grocery carts full of stuff. We just replenish what we need.20 Reply

+1 yDepends on the shop, I go to Waitrose for meat and veg, Sainsbury’s for drink and marks and Spencer’s for cooking ingredients and frozen.
Only Waitrose offers organic, don’t use Abel and Cole as much as our guy who shoots deer is easier.

+1 yFor the household, every week:
1. a single bulk shopping in Costco
2. a visit to the grocery store or supermarket the other 3 weeks
For my businesses, lots of online orders and 1 bulk shopping in Costco throughout each month.

10 ReplyAbout once a week. Walmart is super close, and I use Walmart pickup so that I don't have to go in. It's super fact, plus they pickup nonfood items as well.
10 ReplyOne huge Costco haul at the beginning of the month with weekly to biweekly top ups (usually milk) roommate drinks an obscene amount of the stuff. And other small produce items.
10 ReplyWeekly with an occasional extra trip for fresh foods to make a special meal.
