Have you ever had a midnight feast?

Be it with family or friends? Alone?

Was cooking hamburgers (steamed veggies and chips) halfway through the night on my iron skillet. Had a rumbling stomach keeping me awake. Needless to say I woke people. lol

I was half expecting to get hate texts from my neighbors having made them hungry with the exhaust fan. Had some spares ready just in case.

It reminded me of some of my favorite childhood books by Enid Blyton. Her characters often enjoyed them.

No I haven't, in fact this is the very first I've even heard of this!

Having done the usual Google Search, I see that it's only been out for the last two years on the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) CBBC channel, hence the reason that I've had no knowledge of this.

Must "investigate" further, that's if I ever get the time!

That is cool! Yeah I think the only time I have had a good midnight meal was a couple times hanging out with a friend who always wanted to stay up and talk. Her favorite thing to say was “but the night is still young!” Needless to say we never slept much when she visited.

In the Philippines, we usually have Noche Buena literally feast at midnight… I mean feast! 🤣 Midnight snacks/feast for me and my friends after a night of partying at the local bbq joint or burger 🍔 place.

🤣 my parents would literally wake me up at 11pm or we don’t sleep at all to meet midnight for Christmas 🎄. Oh and my friends and I would sneak out of the dorms to go party at 11 and party till the sun rises 🤣. There’s a lot of 24/7 restaurants and food places open because of this

Absolutely! Some might think the type of feast would be arranged on New Year’s Eve. For my husband and I, it was after an organized evening bike ride in Colorado, where we lived the first couple years of our marriage. It’s called the midnight Ramble.

There was a large spread of food that you could partake in before the ride started. We both enjoyed it and it fueled a ride to the wee hours of the night until it ended at sun up.

That gave me chills. How fun that must be! Is it organized with high moonlight? Or didn’t that matter?

The first year we did it it was a clear night and it was organized near the summer solstice. There were thousands of riders, we all had lights and it seemed like a rolling party. We all had beers at the end of the road, for breakfast.
It wasn’t a long ride either, might’ve been like 30 or 40 miles over the course of 6 miles. Pretty easy pace to keep up with peddling

Six hours, that should make more sense. The road occurred over six or seven hours.

Yes. My own has several with motorcycles too. Not through the night though. That is an interesting spin.

A lot of the streets were closed for the event, it’s neat seeing a city at night without a lot of activity

Yes, I have an eating disorder called bulimia and I used to do this every night and then make myself sick. I tend not to eat past 11 o'clock now and I am getting a bit better

There used to be a place that did not open unti 11 pm the clientele was just what you would expect the food was good though. i usually had eggs and waffles.
