Would you lose your appetite if I said 'you are eating a cooked dead animal body' instead of 'you are eating a non-veg'?

I am a pure veg guy, and my mom was cooking up a goat in the kitchen for the lunch.

And I said to her, 'Do you not feel anything while you are cooking some dead animal in there?'. She was like, 'Why did you have to say it like that? A more appropriate term like non-veg is there! Use it. Do not kill the appetite now.'
