We really enjoy picnics when time allows. It was much easier when the kids were little with less activities planned on the weekends. It seemed like we participated in many more picnics and barbecues when we were in college and during the time we were dating.

yes, a few... mostly with friends, family

and also with a couple of ex-girlfriends back at this certain place which had a much more apt scenery near the mountains

also had a few, many gatherings picnic style, but they of course... included a grill/BBQ but, I never got them to catch fire like that one from the pic... lmao

Only thing I have done “beach at sunset” is a walk with a drink. No beaches around me. Beaches are a holiday thing for us, at least until we (maybe) relocate.

Yes! Picnics are fun! The most recent (and I really almost feel guilty using the word "recent") was seven years ago. Took the whole family, my youngest was three. It was spontaneous. We grabbed food and blankets and drove to the park and just spent a few hours eating a playing. Very great fun!

Last time I went was August when we were in Australia. We went the one day that it didn't rain. It was cold for me though. I am a warm weather girl. Perhaps we can squeeze one in between the wedding madness in December.

That sounds glorious! I remember an impromptu picnic in Fremantle, Australia in 1996. I got food from a little shop in a building that either had been or was near a very old gaol. Sat on the beach with myself after having spent a month at sea with my 5,000 fellow sailors. That was pretty awesome.

yes!! it was our go to, me and my group of best friends when we were trying to be more mature and not cause trouble lol… food, snacks, drinks and each other’s company… plus all of the goofiness and running around are all super precious memories!

My mom used to take my sister and I on a picnic at this park in the valley every weekend for years. Always sat about 20 feet away from the lake. My sister and I used to save the edges of our sandwiches to feed the ducks. So many good times. I aspire to do the same with my kids.

Ooo! Yeah I can see that not being great. I mean I lived in Alaska for a while as a kid so cold has just always been a part of my life. And we had many picnics while freezing our butts off simply because it still meant we were getting to see the ocean or whatever. Be out side… but a nice warm picnic on a warm sunny day with just a slight breeze. That is The best.

I am a warm weather girl. To give you reference, I think 60F is very cold. Lucky for me, when we go in a month, it is summer there and very warm. So, maybe we can squeeze a picnic in during the month in between all the wedding madness.

When I was growing up, the suburbs of the San Francisco Bay Area had spacious parks where we'd enjoy Sunday picnics. Dad always took us to military bases, race tracks & national parks for adventurous thrilling activities and we'd reward ourselves with a picnic prepared by Mom.

Even though our parents are older, we still do those but no longer as often.
