So I'm trying to super-healthy eating thing right now. All throughout December, just eating "superfoods." I spent a sh*t-ton of money on all this healthy food shown above. (The salmon alone was $17 US; I don't know if that's normal or not, but that's a lot for me.)
I'm going back to cooking every meal once again, which is a hassle. And I'm spending more than $5-$7 a day on my food, all to try to adapt healthy lifestyle choices and not just live off of yogurt and beef like I've been doing since the weight-loss surgery.
This Sunday night I made fried salmon, gyeran mari (Korean egg rolls), and baked broccoli. It was one of the blandest meals I ever had, and I added pepper to it. I also planned on making some grilled peanut chicken and sunny-side-up eggs at some point. But imma be honest; I can't live this 'pretentious meal' sh*t for the rest of my life. This isn't satisfying to me.
So what are some basic healthy meals one can eat everyday that aren't as expensive or bland as this?
I asked this question before on GAG. ... Kinda. All the responses I got were either terrible tasting crap like vegan food. Really hard to make things that take a long time to cook. Or generic answers like "fruit."
So please, no nasty food for advanced health nuts only, chef-level dishes, or generic responses like "veggies." Thank you.
