Christmas turkey? Turkey twice in two months (for the Americans out there.)

@berethor brought up a hilarious post the other day about the Japanese calling single women who hit The Wall (in their 30s and no longer desirable in dating) as "Christmas Cake" and laughed my ass off at that post! It's so quirky and bizarre, but I get the reference. "No eating cake the 25th. It's spoiled now!" LMAO! 🤣

But I wouldn't go the "Christmas Cake" route! I try not to waste food and prior to weight loss surgery, never once let food expire and go bad. If for some reason, I was eating turkey again so soon after American Thanksgiving, I'd make sandwiches out of them. Or some turkey burritos.

We cook turkey for Thanksgiving (most times) but not for Christmas. This year my grill-addicted husband stood out in the cold and grilled steak and chicken.

I didn't get one. I don't have an oven or a freezer to keep it in `til I'm ready to cook it. I got a ham from the food bank Luckily, I had enough room for that in the freezer but, I guess I'm gonna have to cut it down, and cook it in parts in the electric skillet.

We didn't have turkey for Christmas but we did have ham. I did eat some ham and am thinking of making a grilled cheese sandwich with leftovers perhaps.

We didn't have a big Christmas dinner. Since we didn't get to go anywhere because we were snowed in, and we wound up just not doing anything big. Plus, I'm Jewish, so, we don't really celebrate Christmas. My parents are not Christmas believers either. My mom is Jewish and my dad became Agnostic once he left his home, over 50 years ago

We do not jave turkey at Christmas but we have two for Thanksgiving. One for the holiday and the other for leftovers. Lots of turkey sandwiches, turkey leftover platters, and at the end turkey soup.

Our family puts the Turkey in the freezer and than makes Turkey noodles marinated in Chinese edible fungus and it’s very tasty.

Ham, sweetie. 50% of Americans have Christmas ham. And today it's a sandwich, obviously. Whatever I don't eat will go to the raccoons. I love them as one would a pet.
