Mine is a stuffed grouper from a little Greek restaurant that we would go to when my family went on vacation.

I have started this reply like six times, trying to figure out just what I wanted to put in.
This is a complicated question. Some of these places I'm unlikely to go back to (that means never but if I say never I'll be sad).
In terms of chain restaurants, Maggiano's has an Italian sausage and penne in a vodka cream sauce that I'm partial to.
There are three meals I'm pretty certain I'll never see again. First is an appetizer I had in a little hotel halfway between Jebel Ali and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It was garlic sauteed mushrooms in warmed spinach. Then, there was a fillet steak and potatoes at a restaurant in Hong Kong where they only speak French. I went there six times before Hong Kong reverted to the People's Republic. Finally, there was an apple walnut salad at a restaurant called Firefly on the island of Guam in the South Pacific. Firefly closed so I know I'm never going back there.
Meal to die for. That's a tie. One is a cheeseburger at Schnipper's in New York City. The other is the ribeye at Charlie Palmer Steak on Constitution Avenue on Capitol Hill in Washington, D. C.
But, screw all of that. I want dessert. And that, my friends, is tied between the Crème Brulé at Fish Market on Harbor Drive in San Diego or the tiramisu at Ai Fiori in New York City. Wine? The Jolee Rosé from Del Rio Vineyards in Oregon.
Jesus, you have been everywhere 🤣
I honestly don’t have anything that I specifically crave. But there are some old goodies that just are never the same since my parents health went down the tubes. Like my dad made a mad lasagna dish. I haven’t had any good lasagna since he lost his feet and eyes. Or like my family usurp to do tacos all the time. And evey morning after tacos my mom would rip up the tortillas, mix the meat in with eggs and cheese and oh my gosh it was to die for! Lmao! I don’t k ow what she did because it has not felt the same since she lost her health…
I'm sorry to hear about their health issues.
Thanks! They have been fighting it for about 12 or 15 years now.
It’s been pretty wild. But they still take every chance they find to tell me I need a wife.
Thanks for the MHO!
Rillions. They're chunks of bellypork cooked very slowly in cider and their own fat until soft and sticky. You can feel years slipping off your life expectancy with every bite.
Not hard to make or expensive I just never seem to pick up belly pork when I'm shopping
I can think of a few: Both chicken & veggie lasagnas, cauliflower wings, veggie burgers, veggie corndogs, shrimp linguine, spinach ravioli, and chicken alfredo. Anything else and it'd be portobello mushroom sandwich.
Is that ALL one meal?
@Guardian45 definitely not. All are separate meals. Some of them are just frozen and others are from restaurants. Since my parents are on keto, I haven't had pasta dishes as much. One pasta dish I sneak sometimes is mac & cheese.
Oh my gosh I would go nuts not being able to eat pasta.
@Wish4UrB00ty we have tried some things that are like pasta, but they don't go well. they're like noodles made of plant protein. I'd rather have baked spaghetti squash over them.
Ooo! Yeah! That isn’t something you can substitute sadly. Lol! I respect the backed spaghetti squash choices though!! That is a main choice for me when I feel I need to go more healthy.
@Wish4UrB00ty I like it better than actual spaghetti but that's because you actually get the sauce. With regular spaghetti it's like you can't even stir it otherwise all of the tomato sauce is gone.
Oh no! That is sad! Lmao!’ You can’t say that… 😂😂
@Wish4UrB00ty I've thought of making a spaghetti salad or doing something with the spaghetti noodles. Would be much better I'm sure. Other than that, just order regular spaghetti from a restaurant.
Actually spaghetti salad is pretty good! And yeah! I’m sure that there are other fun ways to use it if you can.

Fresh Maine lobster with drawn butter. It's affordable on the east coast.
There was a Korean restaurant in the Los Angeles area that had the best Korean food I've ever tasted. My favorite was spicy, marinated pork daeji gui. Their spicy, seafood soup was also amazing.
I miss the bakmi goreng from a local Indonesian restaurant.
There is also a fantastic Cuban restaurant down there that we try to hit every time we're in town. The fried yucca and plantains, along with the ultra garlicy butter sauce on their chicken or fish is to die for.
Oxtail! It's 25 dollars a plate but i wanna cry when i eat it. Because it's that dang good to me.
But NOT the American verison.
MUST be jamaican style.
Oh and really rarely get my grandma's homemade because she all the way in jamaica😭
See another reason I need to go to Jamaica!😋😂
Oh! No honey I’ll leave your oxtail alone and get my own… thank you! m though!! 😂😂
Now… how you gonna eat all of it? 😊😏
Okay… that is fair! You can have that islands sum of ox tail and I’ll just bring my own dang ox tail… since some people do t like sharing apparently…
Octopus nigiri. They only have it at this local sushi restaurant but it's insanely expensive and I only order it when I get a doordash gift card. The salmon and tuna nigiri at the grocery store will usually do the trick when I'm craving nigiri and it's much cheaper
Wagyu. There’s a restaurant in the city that has it, or some form of it but it’s ridiculously expensive so I don’t have it often. Chicken karaage is another that I enjoy but it’s more affordable so I have it a little more often whenever I treat myself to ramen
Marinated mussels. They’re not hard to get but I don’t like having them too often, better as a treat.
It was the grilled fish and steamed lobster I once had. They were food freshly caught from the sea. I fished up the lobsters and steamed it while my buddy roasted the fish he just caught.
A dash of lemon on the grilled fish, some salt and pepper on the peeled lobsters, ice cold beer and a setting sun in the warm tropical beach. It was fantastic.
Linda's fudge cake from the Cheesecake Factory. The nearest one is over an hour's drive away from me, but it's a very rich and delicious cake that I always get whenever I'm close enough.
Paella... the more authentic one, not only is rare to the region (originally from Spain) but also difficult to find someone that makes a great one
Don't really have a rare breakfast per say
Lunch would be the Reuben sandwiches from Leather Lane when I'm selling silver in Hatton Garden (I can post gold and platinum)
Dinner probably a mixed grill because its too much washing up to do it at home and I don't dine out much
Fresh seafood, probably because I live in the middle of a continent
I love lobster tails. I love the way it tastes but it's so expensive
While I still eat a steak from time to time, I love a good New York Strip.
Stuffed grouper sounds delicious...
Mine has got to be 'Placki Ziemniaczane' - Eastern European potatoe pancakes
Venison fillet with a port, shallot and redcurrant jus. Served with sauteed potatoes and asparagus
Filet mignon in a restaurant. I cook them at home once in a while but the inventory restaurants gets is higher quality.
Corned Beef and cabbage. We only have it on St Patricks day. It is really fatty and is loaded with sodium. St Patricks day will be here in about 8 weeks.
Pretty much each and every meal has became that now
Thanks for like!
