Trending & News When I make s big pot of chili it's a meal on it's own. I put pasta elbows right in the chili, I never have the need for anything else other then fresh garlic bread and some fries for chili fries and the usual toppings sour cream, grated cheddar cheese or mozzarella.
Can you add me to it
If I'm not mistaken, chilli con carne is usually served with rice, which is a nice complement to the obligated beans, meat and chilli. Plain cooked patatoes seem a good alternative to me because they make whole a bit lighter. On the other hand I'm not convinced by pasta, but why not? Some people also like plain bread.
Did someone tried couscous, or bulgur? Can't be bad.
I serve it over chicken enchiladas.
They’re incredibly easy to make, but rolling them takes a few minutes.
I want be a chicken i wish in enchiladas
All of the above... And truthfully I cannot think of any further suggestions... Sorry.
@purplepoppy
I meant to ask what time you're planning on serving up! 😉
Thinking rice and samosas
@purplepoppy
I seem to have misplaced my invitation! 🤔🙂

You’ve hit all of my favorites except for cornbread. Especially sweet cornbread with a spicy chili is wonderful! I’ve also had chili on toast, kinda like “sh*t on a shingle”. Ell oh ell! In the states, putting chili on sausages and burgers is pretty common. You listed pasta, but “chili mac” is a classic here. I’ve even seen it baked together and made into a sandwich filling.
I luv chili and i’ve tried it every which way i can think of, and i’m wide open to suggestions!
It makes a good dip when cheese is added to it. The thing is I can never choose which cheese to use. I love soft cheeses and hard ones too. I love the rich flavored ones and the stinky ones too. But I guess if you just put it on a hotdog I am happy. Although on a cheeseburger is equally as good…. Just so many uses for it….
Hard cheese IN and soft cheese ON. Flavor profile is to taste.
I've never seen chili served over anything. It's not a sauce. It's a meal of its own. It does go very well with a side of corn bread. The corn bread can be served with butter and honey or maple syrup.
Chili dogs are good, too.
You could try a roti - Indian unleavened bread also called salome. I make a mince curry based on a Cape Malay recipe that's tasty in them
Mashed potatoes with butter, sweet cream and a pinch nutmeg
Only rice and maybe a green salad, though when I make Chilli Con Carne I tend to use more deans that the classic recipe.
In America, it’s very popular with corn bread and white rice you dump the chili on the white rice
Just in my opinion and it may sound cliche I think they're best with corn tortillas. Either hard or soft. I tried it with rice and bread, doesn't taste as good. Any starch that's light or less starchy works well with it. Like cabbage/letus, it works almost as fine.
Cornbread, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, smoke Gouda cheese. Ground venison is good with chili
Damn that's what I'm talking about
A meal for a homeless man besides the rice that all I have to say about that. this make a nigrod hunger be reading it I'm stopping now lol
If you want to go full fatass, ladle it over mac n cheese.
That’s only two-thirds fatass. Full fatass puts the chili mac between slices of bread or toast. Ell oh ell!
I normally eat tortilla chips with my chili. Corn tortillas to be exact. You can also do soft tortilla shells, that works too.
My father always liked his chili con carne with toast and a beer.
I like to eat chilli by itself. Is that weird?
I just think it’s a protein bowl.
No! Chili IS singular! It is also versatile! Chili is the beginning and the end! Ell oh ell!
In a bread bowl. Then you get to dip tortilla chips in it and eat the bowl that soaked-up all the chilli goodness.
never had it before... but I am sure I could make tacos out of it somehow...
Salmon! Nah that won't work. What about on cereal? Eh, too silly. Wait.. I got it! On soup! Yeah just dump that shit on top of some chicken noodle and the rest will be history :)
