UK people, can you remember the olden days when you could buy vegetables in shops?

I've forgotten the taste of tomato, the crunch of a pepper or the pleasure of a cucumber. I feel these things slipping into the realms of myth and future generations will disbelieve our stories of salad days.

Obviously the blame lies with brexit and Trump. Still it's great watching vegans go nuts.

We are just so lucky in having a local farm shop a couple of miles away... Perhaps just a little more expensive, but generally very well stocked... I've actually been buying from them for several years now.

We eat lots of different types of food, from healthy to junk. We import a lot of stuff so our diets quite mixed. Indian foods popular but if you want some stuff you'll need to go to a city like Birmingham thats got a high Asian population.

I never watched any of the Star Trek movies, and I just found out about the slaves when I was looking for a pic of the star ship. But I did like Star Trek the next generation. When captain Picard got off work at night, he told his replicator to make him a cup of Earl Grey tea. What a party animal. When Walmart starts selling replicators, this is going to be what I tell it to make.

The cause doesn't lie with brexit and Trump, it lies with the EU and their close down orders for the Dutch farmers, as that is where the UK supermarkets were sourcing a lot of their Veg from.

@Gummy_Cluster I did know that. There is a video on Youtube that shows Gates and Jobs being interviewed together. They did work on some projects together. i used to have the students in my Thursday night computer hardware class write a term paper about this video.

I think the movie I watched was Revenge of the Nerds. I have respect for both of them, but I just preferred Microsoft to Apple. And now I'm Google all the way.
I had a desire to build a phone app. Microsoft said I had to purchase a $100.00 developer license! Apple said the same. Google said they didn't give a flying fuck how many apps I made. I never made an app, but that's neither here nor there.
