3131 South 27th street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the the address of Leon's, a frozen custard stand. I have been there in early February, when it was a ten below and still snowing. The line STILL stretched halfway down the block.

The only time I'd acknowledge an "ice cream season" would be if it was for hunting. We eat it year round everywhere I've lived.

... Although now I kinda want to buy one of those hunting trophy plaques and put a sculpture of an ice cream cone on it; it'd be a hell of a conversation piece.

This is my favorite ice cream from a popular place where I live - they slice it rather than scoop it and the flavors are orange sherbert, pistachio, palmer house, strawberry, and chocolate. its too cold here to think about ice cream right now but yes, they are open! 🙂

We even have seasonal and holiday ice cream: Christmas cookie, king cake ice cream (for mardi gras), brides cake, pumpkin pecan...

It helps we have mild to warm weather year round, so it's not strange for us to eat ice cream even in the winter.

Every month is ice cream season for me, because I have dentist appointment every month for tightening my braces and the dentist recommends ice cream few hours after the treatment to soothe the soring sensation.

Things like DQ & ice cream parlors are always open. But our ice cream stand is opening up. Right now, it's still cold here. But I'll get to go to DQ on Monday for their free vanilla ice cream cone.

The ice cream stands remain closed. I think they open in April, but our warm season doesn't start until late June. We skip spring temperatures and go from winter to summer.
