Do you like to sprinkle cheese on soups and do you have a favourite combo?

I sure do though I haven't actually had it for a very long time.
I would have to suggest the classic, tomato soup, grated cheddar and buttered crusty bread.
Although regarding the cheddar I have been questioning that lately, why is it the goto cheese in the UK? It isn't in other places (I don't think?) maybe in some places it is but its not universal, i think its a choice we are making.
Double gloucester is better so while i literally just said cheddar I think i will have double gloucester or red leicester and just tell you that i am having cheddar so as not to unsettle the nation.
During the war they brought in laws to speed up cheese making. It killed off the small producers and turned it into a factory cheese that was promoted above all others You then ended up with generations buying it for decades after because they were raised on it.
Man, u can sprinkle cheese on anything its good. That's my trick for cooking when I'm out of food and the restaurants are closed. I just take anything I find, veges , cold cuts and chop it up and put a whole lot of cheese, hot sauce and soy sauce and dump it in the micro. I think cheese marinates anything in the micro. Such are the bachelor survival technics, I'm also an expert on bad food, only got food poisoning like twice. Did you know Pop's, my Grandmom's English, Mom's Mum, spent lots of time in London, miss the Fish n' chips, if that's a combo. Don't know why but they don't have any in NYC.
Not especially. Cheese melts and it remembers a bit of milk clots. Some few soups contain a lot of sweet cream and are practically like Fondue base, those soups can handle finely grated Gruyere or Parmesan.
I like putting cheese on chilis and chicken spinach tortellini soup.

Yes! It's cheese
Let's cheese it.
Yummy but not too much and only at each serving as the grease settles in the dish that one is eating.
My father used to put grated cheese on soup I never liked it.
Sometimes. Definitely French Onion, of course. And some vegetable soups.
Not a fave of mine but i will once in a while

I often grate some cheddar on the soup. I never developed a taste for Stilton.
Depends on the soup. Some shredded cheese on tomato soup or cream of potato soup is delicious.
