What sorts of foods should I bring to work?

I work in an op shop and I need to start bringing in cheap lunches. I don’t like sandwiches.

Make up a big batch of homemade soup or chili, or a stew or a tuna pasta casserole and divide it into single portions in something like Tupperware containers and freeze them, take one for lunch along with an apple or other piece of fruit. I'm assuming you have a microwave at work as most places do to heat it up and enjoy a good but inexpensive lunch.

Healthy Snacks for Work

Apples and Nut Butter.
Cheese and Crackers.
Chocolate Milk.
Dark Chocolate.
Dried Fruit and Nuts.
Pita Chips and Hummus Pack.
Tuna Pouch.

The best way to find on the go food is a Chinese super market. These foods are imported from China so most of the stuff they sell are non perishable foods that do not require refrigeration. Some things I like are dried cuttle fish and broad beans.

Pasta dishes, stews... something that you can easily reheat in a microwave.
