Yeah, my mom's cooking has always been good. My dad never cooked. He knew how to make toast and eggs, and that's about it. lol
I was very lucky growing up though, because my mom loved cooking and we always had home cooked meals everyday, which isn't something a lot of my friends growing up had. Like anyone, there were a few not so great meals here and there (not often though), but for the most part her cooking was really good, and she's always been adventurous and willing to try new things, including different kinds of ethnic food. I'm very much the same way too.
I am also very lucky that my mom taught me and my brother how to cook from a very young age, which is something that has served me very well in life. I consider it an important life skill to have. Now I'm helping to take care of my now-elderly mom and I make her meals. 🙂 I think it's cool that she taught me how to cook and that the knowledge she instilled in me has allowed me to take care of her now. Life comes full circle.

yes, both of them great at cooking (and the grill as well)
I got really lucky... since they would manage to cook a more "regular" and tasty meal for me, while the rest would end up spicy hot crazy... like most in my family would like it, lol
Yeah. Some things I don't like but I like most things we try.
I loved my dad’s cooking

I like my mom's cooking. My dad doesn't very often probably because he isn't very good at it but we don't tell him. 🤣
My Dad always makes darn good meals, especially chili.
Yeah... Especially my boyfriend's mom.. she is a great cook. My parents are also great though
Nothing special about the food so I never had to chance to compare it.
My Mom was a good cook but I can't enjoy her cooking anymore as they've both past on.
Both of my parents were good cooks. All said though I think my father was the better cook.
