Is this fresh ground beef good past expiry if frozen?

Says best before tomorrow. It has some browning and a smell but also some red parts. If I freeze it all today will it be ok to use another day?

If it smells bad, that's your body telling you not to eat it. The smell is caused by bacteria in the meat. usually bad bacteria. Freezing won't kill the bacteria, and you'd have to cook it at so high a temperature that it would be inedible.

"Best by" dates aren't when it expires; they're when the store stops guaranteeing it's fresh. If it doubt, give it the smell test; it smells okay, it's probably fine.

Meat is generally safe for months when you freeze it, regardless of the date on the packaging. However, if it doesn’t smell right beforehand, then I wouldn’t risk eating it.

".. a smell.." it's a warning you shouldn't eat it anymore. Specific bacteria produce botulinum neurotoxin that is very dangerous for humans.

It's good for awhile if frozen while still fresh.

If it’s been frozen long before the expiration date? Then you should be ok

If it has an odor, I wouldn't keep it.
