My millionaire cousin and her millionaire husband want to visit me this summer, and I said red lobster has discounts when you buy in bulk and she says she will be going to a better place than that. I have no idea how you can be better than red lobster but we aren't super rich like them. I have nothing against her, she worked so very hard and she is very generous.
I think this is a local question. There is no chain food place I would consider high end. The only possible chain food place on the east coast of the US is called “Hook and reel”. It does Cajun seafood. It’s not as high end as Ruth’s Chris steakhouse which is another high end chain. Honestly, the high end places don’t necessarily have the best food. I am much happier with some of the small local places to eat, better food and more character in the decor. I would ask what they like and then look for these small local places with good food and character. Good luck in your search.

I rarely go to large, chain restaurants.
The best places are privately owned.
I like all kinds of food, including seafood and BBQ.
Seafood restaurants that are on a warf or near the ocean can be amazing!
But there are a lot of amazing, privately owned ethnic restaurants.
One of my favorite kinds of food is Korean BBQ. But you have to find a really good one.
Some Italian restaurants are killer, too. I'm talking about stuff like cioppino, seafood fettuccine, great wines, tiramisu, ...
And that stuff doesn't have to be super expensive.
High end to me,
A place that's not part of a franchise
They have a tie requirement that all men must wear a tie
They have a coat check
They have a doorman or door woman
One meal without drinks cost about 150 to 200 bucks a plate
They have a violinist traveling to table to table
The wait staff is dressed perfectly and everyone dressed the same
Food only gets so good, and then it's just a waste of money.

I love Red Lobster, but it's not a high end restaurant.
High end places are the ones that serve you like 3 bites of food but charge you $400 for the "priviledge".
"It's all about the presentation!" No, it's about suckering rich people out of their money.
I determine whether or not a restaurant is high end based off how good the food is and good customer service
I’ve been to really expensive restaurants that had horrible staff and the food was midColiseum at Pelican Hill.
Definitely sushi seem to be more expensive.
