When you receive a menu does it take you a long time to decide what to eat?

Typically I like to plan my meals ahead, I usually buy all the ingredients beforehand and just cook throughout the week. :) Like today I had a sesame seed tai pork loin with sea salt green beans and toasted wheat bread. 🥰
I look at the menu before I go and scan for options without creamy white sauces. 😂 I really try to order things that are good to go rather than deleting sauces and risking a screw up.
Thanks for the mho! 😍
What do you usually eat when you go out?
I like fish dishes usually.
Nice, do you cook fish dishes at home by yourself or just eat out?:)

i like to look at menus before i go to restaurants so i have an idea. i'd prefer to spend 5-10 minutes looking at the menu but if people seem in a hurry to order i can make a decision quicker
but generally i like a relaxed dining experience. so i'd like more time to look, chat, have a drink, rather than feel rushed
I have as much time as my company can spare me or until the waiter gets impatient.
I can be indecisive for a long time, in the end I might just choose at random or copy someone else.
Most things are tasty in their own way so I always ask myself if I want comfort, health or to be explorative. I end up exploring a lot. Do comfort when ordering online and health when casualy eating out.
If im going to a restaurant I've never been before, I'll look up the menu beforehand and decide from there. So that once I'm there I have a general idea of what I want. If there is something else that sounds appealing, like the daily specials then maybe I'll puck that
As someone with social anxiety, I look at the menu before I get there.
i do the same but i just like to get an idea of how much i will pay mainly
Thats a delicious question.
I have a local restaurant that feeds me (NOT) free of charge on Weekdays and another restaurant that cooks me pasta carbonara on the weekends.
I dont need to think what I eat today, I have the restaurant do the thinking, shopping, cooking and cleaning.
This depends vastly if its a new place ( for me ) or not , I'm very strict on no processed carbs , so I always have a idea , or if one of my regs then I know before I attend , so I ticked the first one.
i have certain meals that i always get, every time. and certain places where i want to eat. i don't like taking forever to decide when i already know the tried and true good tasting stuff. plus my choices are limited because of what i eat.
I already know before I order. If it's a new place (which only happens when mom makes us try something new😂) then I pick what I'm most likely gonna want which takes 5 min max. I value time the most
I have to look at the menu online first to know what I want. If I don't plan out before I'll take forever
If I am at a restaurant I have never been to before it can take a while but otherwise, just a minute or two.
I decide what I’m eating hours or days before hand so I do not have to think about it at all but I rarely if ever eat out
If I know that I'm going to a certain restaurant well in advance I usually take a look at the menu online.
It can take me a while. I usually check everything before making a choice.
If on my own no time at all. If we OH we coordinate so we share food. If with kids, takes ages cause yhey don't stop making noise and won't sit still
eating out if no pizza takes me forever to pick
If I'm in a familiar restaurant I know what I want before I open the door to go in. If I'm in a new place I'll scan the menu to see if something catches my eye
I take a couple of minutes than order what I want.
have cried before trying to decide between frozen dinners
I'll Google the place and find one or two options to cover myself
Usually not. Unless I have to spec both the ingridients and the way to cook them (don't ask 🤦♂️), it usually takes me a glance or two to choose.
Ages especially if I'm torn between dishes.
I'm usually everybody order first and I'll make up my mind between steak or ribs.
Omg 🤣, I'm terrible with this. I buy groceries and often times won't eat it.
Takes me quite a while to decide.
Couple minutes I guess
Not long. I’m a creature of habit. 😆
Depends on how many times I’ve been there.
Not long unless I'm at a new place
Just a couple minutes or so.
10 minutes
