So is it your cup of tea?

I have a nice, relaxing cup of tea while I read through the hateful and deragatory comments on this site. I find such comments highly offensive and inappropriate. If people make such remarks I have no choice but to report their unacceptable behaviour. I click 'Report' then sip my tea with a loud slurp while I imagine their tiny little cocks in a vise grip.
Yes, but I only indulge on special occassions because it is quite a lot to eat, and also more pricier. I prefer the afternoon tea that has some sweets, but mostly scones, and finger sandwiches are my favourite, over the macarons etc, thats untraditional in a British afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea is not somethign done often in the US, where I live. I've enjoyed afternoon tea on my visits to the UK, and also aboard cruise ships. Cunard especially has a very good afternoon tea with scones.
I can have a cup of tea any time of the day!
I love the pun in the end lol 💀

When I was 12, I loved having cups of tea in the afternoon and when I got home from school. I would love afternoon tea or type of coffee anytime if I was ever in the mood for it now. But unfortunately, me staying hydrated is more important.
I've always preferred salty food to sweet food so I think a hot dog with afternoon tea is great but I probably won't touch custard with my coffee. The only time I like sweet stuff with my coffee is if it is a latte. And I only like sweets with my tea only if it is pekoe tea. With green tea, I prefer to eat something organic and grown on trees.
I like the ritual of having a “cuppa “ with my mom, and the taste of earl grey and assam are nostalgic for me. I don’t drink caffeine anymore however, and herbal tea just doesn’t do it for me
Huh, sounds a bit like our swedish fika. Except it's usually a bun or pastry and a coffee. Fika breaks are even included in all workplace days by law.
There's a few Swedish coffee shops here called Fika. I haven't tried one yet.
Love afternoon tea or coffee with people, always serve little treats it's nice. But if I'm a solo a cup of tea or coffee sitting on the porch is very relaxing.
It's 4:50 p. m. now and I'm having iced tea & macarons.
Never missed my evening tea and sandwiches.
In Swedish we call this "fika" but we usually have it with coffee.
And yes I do:)
I've never had this, it's not a thing where I live. People here usually just go to a cafe and meet a friend or something.
We are barbarians from your perspective because we drink mostly coffee to afternoon cake or pastry
It's not my cup of tea but when I went to London on vacation, I had to go to a fancy hotel and have over priced tea and scones just to say I did it.
I love it. I had tea time at the Carlton Ritz when I was in London England, but I’m not an actual tea drinker. I prefer soda, but I love all the snacks. Very classy environment.
I looked into your profile just to confirm you're from UK 😁
I don't have a preference of what I drink during the day as long as I have coffee in the morning
I like the idea of it. But I can't control myself not to eat all the cakes and sandwiches 😂
@butterly248 let’s have tea 💃
I like the idea of it but I’ve never really done it
I love afternoon tea 🫖 it’s also an euphemism for something else to do in the afternoon 💃
@butterly248 so you know what I mean 💃
Yes, I like to drink tea in the afternoon and afternoon.
Unless it's too hot (the weather, not the tea).
yes i drink tea and even in the afternoon morning as well
Tea is gross. I might drink a long Island iced tea.
No, I'm more of a potato girl 🥔
