Why do people put cereal before the milk?

1. So the cereal isn't too dry and you don't get dry mouthfuls of cereal with each bite.
2. Because pouring milk on top of the cereal allows you to gauge exactly how much milk to put in to get the perfect cereal to milk ratio.
3. Because if you pour many kinds of cereal on top of a bowl of milk it floats and doesn't sink into the milk at all. You'd have to push it down to get a proper full bowl, which is just dumb.
4. Because ancient scrolls, texts and petroglyps depict ancient civilizations pouring goat milk over their Cocoa Puffs in the morning, and they had it right thousands of years ago.
5. Because if you pour the milk first, the rest of the world will think you're insane. 🤪
I get the feeling people who pour the milk first are also the ones who eat chocolate bars, donuts, hamburgers and pizza with a knife and fork. lol
For the same reason people put milk before the cereal. The reason I put the milk after the cereal is there less chance of adding to much of something I do not like the greatest.
So the cereal can be stirred up already. Every piece of cereal gets coated in milk.
If you did it milk first, half of the cereal up top is still dry. Extra work to stir it up to have every piece of cereal wet.
So that way the cereal isn't too dry.

It is so when you pour the milk on it, gravity gets the milk all over the cereal.
Because the milk is a liquid and fills in the empty spaces.
that way the cow squirt doesn't overflow the bowl.
What do you mean? How else would you do it?
Never heard of this before
Because that’s the sane way to do it
Tradition.
