6-800, but I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. I don't measure in "servings per day" i measure in pounds per day, and usually around 5-8. I also don't eat any premade food, so there's a lot to buy if I want to make something complex. Buying the same stuff 3 4 years ago cost me half that, easily, but I bet I was eating a wider variety then. Inflation and availability has severely impacted stuff here. I used to pay 89 cents for a dozen eggs, now they're 1.79. Chicken breast used to be 1.49 (on sale, down from 1.99), now it's on sale for 3.99 down from 4.99. Lemons are 89c/lb when I used to get them 4 for a buck. The list goes on...

Sounds like you have no idea how to shop for groceries. Stop buying a bunch of stupid crap and buy some normal food. I live with my brother. My brother and I eat a lot, we're big fat bastards. We drink a lot of booze and smoke a lot of weed. I don't think the two of us combined would even spend $600 a month on food, booze, and weed combined.

I grocery shop for three people and two animals every Friday, and runs between $100 and $130. Rarely is it over $130, which is groceries for holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving.

So once a month that'd be like close to $350-$400 a month for me.

$600 a month sounds a little high for just two people. Depends on where you shop and the brands you get, because good brands of stuff is higher in cost, and anything fresh.

Wow! I pay 1600-1800 USD for my meals. And I live alone. But I live in Shanghai and always go for the best quality products and I sometimes order too.

I guess I can cut it down.

For the last 2 years i was doing $600 a month and it actually was a lot of food but still gone within a week and a half. Next year the goal is $$250-400 a month

Oh thank bastions, I thought I read $600 per trip and was about to have a stroke. My prediction algorithm suggests that is an alright amount to spend. Now personally, I’d do everything to keep it at its lowest, especially now that clothes are at least $30 per piece now and basically all of the prices for everything are scalped to oblivion.

Are you purchasing things for a super specific kind of lifestyle?
The cost could be reasonable based on a lot of variables but at the end of the day it’s your money do what you want with it. 😊

600$ a month isn't a lot... i'd like to see what those are getting for 300$ a month... for 2 people not even 1000$ is a lot... a lot by inflation or much higher than what it was... go through a list anything and most things are 3.99... so if you get 60 things in a week that's 240$... unless your ordering out many times a week... so your bill is very low if it's for the month.

$600 is about the average amount people spend on groceries nowadays due to inflation. Depending on where a person lives & for how many people they are buying for groceries can be anywhere from $800 to $1,600 per month.

It depends on what you’re buying chicken and meat cost an awful lot these days so do vegetables I buy a bulk food store. I have enough stuff in my freezer to last me a long time so monthly I probably spend 150 $200 a month because I have everything else.
