This is for the Cooks: Do you pick a name for your food?

I just made a meal. I named one of the things -made differently than I normally would, but, the thing I had made, I don't always make the same way.

I make up other things... and give it a name.

Haha... there's no way I can ever tell anyone the name of this one. I can hear it now, from close one's... why that name 🤪

I've named a few that turned out really good. The only one I can think of right now is
Wag the Dog (ox) tail stew. I remember because I just pulled the recipe and made some a couple days ago per my wife's request. We hadn't had it for a long time.

I just thought of another one: Myline Chili, which is my home-made version of Cincinnati Skyline Chili. I made up the recipe but it's pretty damn close to Skyline, maybe better. LOL

I have made lots of different hot sauces and they all have funny names related to the ingredients

Every time I create something I say “Wait until you taste this”. If everyone loves it I say “oh it was just something I created special for you all”. If people says it ok then I say “honey I think that recipe was a bad choice “. So I guess what I call my food is “this”

My late grandparents were comic, my grandma would give him his meal like sausage or chicken, and he would say to her hey Lib, give me that boner, so I know all about embarrassing names now I'm blushing I can feel it. Lol

@SandandWaves OMG my grand-dad had a sense of humor, but I will say one thing he saved money up to see my grandma was taking care of when she took sick with Alzheimer's and had to live over at our house, but he would say anything. I love them both

it didn't take long at all to name this. Just thought quick, then a few minutes later, seriously... oh no... oh well, am not changing it. It's not what other may think, I may be harmlessy assuming what others may think.
