I can't say I really know who's idea it was to put pineapple on pizza but I have the feeling this is Hawaii's fault 😂

I know most won't care but I am highly disappointed in you population, shame on you 😔

You think  you're  disappointed? I'm a Chicago expat, now in a place- even online, apparently- where people talk about "on pizza" as though pizza were a single uniform thing. Friend, asking if something goes on a pizza is like asking if it goes on a sandwich. A BLT, a grilled cheese, and a Monte Cristo are all radically different, and pizza is just the same. Culture neither begins nor ends in front of the television.

There is an amazing pizza restaurant near me. I order the the same thing every time - pepperoni and garlic.

But I have no problem with Hawaiian pizza. Canadian bacon or prosciutto and pineapple is good. I never order it, but I won't turn it down. It can be kind of a treat. A bit like dessert.

I think it's fine to be creative with pizza pie. People put all kinds of toppings on it.

I'm totally against it, as it's the least traditional of all the common toppings. It was first used in Canada in 1962. On the other hand, fish was the earliest known topping. It was used from the time of ancient Rome.

I love pineapple so much I literally made my own pineapple costume for Halloween one year okay. That being said, NOT ON PIZZA! Stop this crime against humanity. Sure you can argue all day long, what does it matter, its just food, but it matters. We all know it matters so much its one of the greatest food debates around, and if a full bred Italian enters the chat, be prepared to be disowned.

I'm for the idea. I do like hawaiian pizza (chicken specifically) and I like it on a BBQ chicken pizza. Sometimes sweet and savory pizzas are nice though. I'd love to try a pickle pizza. But I wouldn't recommend sweet banana peppers if you don't like sweet foods on pizza.

Well I am Italian and I live in Italy and in my personal preference I do enjoy the classic margarita pizza which has tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil leaves on top. And pizza with pineapple is something I wouldn't really go for.

To be fair, it's not a "normal" pizza.

It's more a "bread" than a pizza. The crust is thin, the sauce is sweet and the pineapple adds a bit of taste and texture to it.

But Murcians like to add cheese and ham to fucking everything and then claim they "invented" it.

I love pizza and have eaten a lot of it. But strangely even though I have though of it I never tried pineapple on it. I try to picture what it would taste like and just can't wrap my mind around it.
