Yeah. This is one of my favorite and addicting recipes. Made to be a healthier snack & dessert option, I call them "Banana S'mores." It makes 4-6 sticks.

    1. Break honey graham crackers into sticks.

    2. Spread creamy pb on them.

    3. Take a banana, peel, and slice it.

    4. Put 2 banana slices on one stick, the other will be saved for the top.

    5. Put nutella on top of the banana slices.

    6. Take the other graham cracker stick and sandwich it (make sure to add the pb to that one, unless you need to restrict intake).

    7. You can either put them in the fridge for several minutes to let them get cold or you can enjoy right away. But I recommend the coldness.

If you try it, tell me what you all think about it.

I made my own version of pintos and cheese from Taco Bell.

1 can old el passo refried beans

taco bell mild sauce packets 7-10

    mild cheddar cheese

Put refried beans into microwave safe bowl

tear open and squirt or pour on top of beans mild sauce packets

You can leave mild sauce on top of beans or mix it all up. Sprinkle as much mild cheddar cheese covering entire surface that you want.

microwave for 3 minutes and keep a paper towel on top of bowl - beans might pop and explode inside your microwave - donโ€™t forget paper towel.

Eat as is or mix the melted cheese into the beans. Enjoy! 👍🙂

No not from scratch. I might change up some seasonings or the amount. I like to play with recipes.

    All the time. Mixed results.

I tried to create "Duck a la Banana" after watching Four Weddings and a Funeral. Duck and banana don't work well together.

I make my own mushroom pate using sherry, cream cheese and a lot of butter that my mum - who doesn't like cheese or alcohol - can't get enough of. I brew my own cider based on a recipe I got from my grandmother and adapted.

This year I'm planning to make mead for the first time using honey and blackcurrants (blueberries if I can't get the currants). I love a challenge.

I took a bunch of ideas and created a dish it has shrimp, pancetta, tomato, spinach, garlic, red pepper, sauteed before adding mozzarella, paremesean and heavy cream. once the cheese has melted and you have a sauce you pour it over angel hair pasta

    delicious

I have my own recipe for cabbage rolls, mine tend to go super fast at any gathering and people are always asking for my recipe.

Like the Colonel, I keep that recipe to myself.

Every week! After you learn a few simple techniques, then you can experiment a bit, learning to cook with whatever you have on hand. With the prices of food these days, this is basic life survival strategy skills, in my opinion.

I now make our own pork sausage, fridge dill pickles, just tried Bread and Butter pickles and did well on the first try, all of our own slaws, potato/pasta/bean/olive salads, fruit compotes, homemade biscuits, and many desserts.

I'll also use packaged products as a start but then add my own seasonings, proteins, etc.

My next experiment will be brownies from a cake mix by reducing the liquid and eggs.

I usually tweak recipes and to enhance them- additional ingredients, substitutions, usually some spices, and flavorings. The recipes taste so much better when done with a bit more effort opposed to the traditional way. :)

Blackberry pies, pumpkin pies, chowder, casseroles, chili, butter chicken, and all sorts just taste amazing when personalized!

What a coincidence 😂! Alright so here is something I did or rather added to my Servant lady's cooking.

She makes one of the best food at the farm. So, this visit while I was there I was tired of eating same stuff.

So, I tweaked the recipe. She usually makes delicious Pea chicken handi, so I asked her to add corn this time considering our area of land is used for growing Corn and Potatoes and turmeric majorly by the growers and she replied who does that 🙄. I said try it? She replied, "Okay, but how".

So, I told her to boil corn 🌽 as I thought raw corn will be too hard and then cook it with the chicken as usual.

And violah, all the tenants present for dinner said, "why didn't we touch of it" and I was also amazed no one thought of using Corn when all they grow is corn 🤣.

We use corn in bread but this was first time they used it in food

I'm used to scratch cooking with what is available in the larder/fridge/freezer, usually its quite good to very good, but once in a while you end up with a mix of ingredients that seem not to gel and you end up with a meal that is mediocre, and as I tend to list what ingredients I've used for any given meal I do not repeat the mediocre Ones.

During Covid I invented this stuff I called Covid Goo.

It's just like a slime you make with flour, cinnamon, sugar and a few other things. Was great! It was stuff that was easy to get even when other stuff was out of stock at the store during Covid. 👍

The only down side is that when my sister came to visit she didn't even want to try it.😕

Most of my cooking, as crude as it is, is my own recipe. One thing my kids liked when they were growing up is Dad's French Toast for breakfast, that had a few interesting (and secret) ingredients.

Pretty much everything I cook that's not premade is my own recipe. If I'm cooking something for the first time, I look at a recipe for some guidelines. I make a lot of hot sauces from scratch
