Do you like to mix your spaghetti and sauce together first before you eat it or do you just eat it without doing that?

I think most people mix it first but my grandfather (rip) didn't like to do that. he just ate it outright without mixing it all together.

Oh I'm Italian so I'll tell you what's up. You have to mix. When you get done boiling the noodles you pour the water out except for a little bit. Then you put the noodles in the sauce pot with the marinara. Pour the saved little bit of noodle water into the sauce. Stir the noodles around in the pot so the sauce gets absorbed by the noodles a bit. Take and scoop the noodles out and put them in a big bowl. Boom you're all set. If it's a Bolognese then you can put the meat sauce on top of your noodles on the plate.

This is the Italian American way you do spaghetti and the gravy.

It's much less flavorful when mixed. It's just this mundane same taste everywhere. I prefer unmixed so the flavor goes up and down and keeps my taste buds interested as I eat. Any time I see someone serving or eating premixed spaghetti, I know they probably aren't much of a foodie. The food is never that good either.

Depends on sauce. Spaghetti Carbonara, with Gorgonzola sauce or sauce alla puttanesca taste better if 'al dente' cooked pasta mixed with sauce, absorbs 10 minutes long the sauce on slow heat in the pan.
Spaghetti alla Bolognese or Pomodoro taste better when sauce is poured over cooked pasta.

I like it mixed however the sauce never seems to mix on the noodles well, so I never do it anymore. Which makes me sad since I'd like sauce on all of my spaghetti.

If it's pasta with just sauce, I think it's best to mix it first! because otherwise in the end you will be left with only pasta
