What type of sauce, proteins, and cheeses (if any) would be good when answering. It can be more than one answer, so list away in a specific order if you want. I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours.
1.7K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. I make a killer sauce. I start with a pound of Italian sausage. While it is browning, I add a large, sliced onion (not chopped finely) and lots of chopped garlic.
I pour in three of four jars of different Classico pasta sauce flavors like Four Cheeses, Fire Roasted Tomato and Garlic, Spicy Red Pepper, Tomato and Basil, or whatever.
I shred a medium zucchini long-ways so that it's pasta consistency and add that along with a couple cans of diced, stewed tomatoes and a couple cans of halved, stewed tomatoes (Italian recipe. And I drain the juice). I sometimes add some sun dried tomatoes.
I add dried oregano, some thyme, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, a bit of rosemary, and a dash of cinnamon.
I add lots of decent red wine (maybe 1/3 of a bottle).
Then I simmer it on low for a while until the flavors are blended.
I like lots of freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.
***********************
Another topping I like a lot is Cincinnati Skyline Chile. Once I pour that over the pasta, I add kidney beans, chopped onion, and a heap freshly shredded Cheddar cheese. They call that a five way.
My wife is from Cincinnati and introduced me to it when we were there. She doesn't put anything on it except cheese, though.
I order a case of it every once of a while on-line. But we did create our own recipe that is very similar and really good.

I've never had cincinnati chile before, but it does look good. I'd probably love the beans in it.

oh ok. So, is it just meat based originally?

+1 yPenne as the pasta, “Traditional” Tomato Sauce (similar tasting to Ragu, Prego, or some other ones), Ground Beef Bits, and a side of corn to top it Off. It has to be layered in the bowl when i prepare to eat. So first is the penne. On top goes the Meaty Sauce. Then lastly is some corn

Like this but add corn on top

For the meat sauce you'll want to add 1lb. of ground beef, season it with pinch of salt and pepper and finish cooking ground beef in skillet. Drain out any excess grease. Once done pour in your Ragu Meat Sauce, sprinkle in grated parmesan and romano cheese, and stir.
For meatballs you'll need ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and parsley. Combine all ingredients together and then roll your meatballs into medium size balls. Cook meatballs in oven for 10-15 minutes. Then you'll transfer your meatballs to a sauce pan and then add in Ragu Meat Sauce, grated parmesan and romano cheese, and a handful of parmesan cheese. Stir in and let it simmer.
I love sharing recipes 😋

I’m actually having some now, and I prefer nothing on it, other than it’s sauce-y goodness. ✨ 🍝 🍅 🍖can either have no meat, chicken, ground beef, or sausage/brats
I feel like adding too many additives to this meal overdoes it’s classic taste.

I put it up there just now. lol I don't like meat sauce or scrambled ground beef in mine. But that's because I feel it soaks up too much of the sauce and leaves very little for the spaghetti.
+1 yGround meat, 2 cans of Tomato paste, 1 jar of Ragu garden style sauce and cook this on simmer all day, and it makes me the best sauce.

@PBandJ_Nerd I like grated cheese on my spaghetti
- +1 y
Don't know if anyone will hate me but I like the simple powdered cheese. I don't like the grated stuff because I want it mixed in with the spaghetti and sauce. But I put more cheese on top after stirring before I eat it. Especially if I have the tri-blend beans.

@PBandJ_Nerd No one hates you I love advice from people cooking and stuff also grated cheese from Kraft is not healthy to eat and contains stuff in it that can hinder your health. Thank you :) My friend
