What form of honey do you prefer?

We've probably all got a jar of bee vomit in the cupboard for toast or pancakes. You can get it made from all sorts of flowers but what I want to know is in what form do you prefer your honey?

Do you like the runny kind you can drizzle or the thicker set/creamed type you can spread? Or perhaps you prefer to buy chunks of honeycomb.

Just the regular honey for me. I've never tried the other ones before. The bee in the picture is cute though! 💖 And yes, I know it will sting you even if it's a honeybee. So, I leave them alone (as well as any other bee or waspy creatures).

It depends how I'm using it. Runny on toast but set with lemon juice and ginger in tea.

The only thing I try to get is raw. Unfiltered and non-irradiated locally produced raw honey. A teaspoon a day prevents hay fever by introducing the local pollens into your body.

If/when I get my smallholding sorted out I'll have a couple of hives on the plot for pollenation and home produced honey.

I’ve tried ‘milking’ bees hen decided to go for the comb, a friend gets it in and I pop round for some. He usually gets black honey (bit of marketing going on there).

I don't remember ever eating honey directly from the comb but I would love to try that one day cause I think it would be a great way to experience nature. Of course, after the bees are removed and it has been processed appropriately at a facility.

Linden honey. It's bright yellow and crystallizes relatively easily. I like it because it's not too sweet but has specific linden tree aroma.

One of my customers keeps bees on several of their properties and I get gifted a couple of jars of their honey for Christmas every year. I made some cornbread muffins last week and put some butter and that honey on them and it was heavenly.

Well I had to choose d because that is hilarious 🤣 but truthfully, I prefer it with the comb. At first I thought it was disgusting looking, but I later opened up to it. It creates a nice texture & experience.

@7Phoenix7 - I remember years ago my mother got some all natural honey from the store & I ofc avoided it for a long time. Then one day out of the blue I got an extreme eczema flare up & was considering putting honey on it due to some online peeps talking about it. But the honeycomb was like partially dissolved into the honey so there was no way of getting around it quickly. So I was like "fuck it." And since I was putting it on my lips, I inevitably ate some & didn't mind it at all. But yeah all natural honey works wonders for eczema.

We prefer runny Clover Honey... that never spoils. There are reports of finding honey in jars from ancient Egypt... still good to eat.

I prefer to buy the raw honey from the farmer not store brought honey. Raw from the farmer/ side of the road store is so much nicer. I actually used to cart honey in Australia to a well-known honey company so I did ask questions.

Runny honey is the best. You can use IT for everything, tea, porridge, cakes, etc.
