Why am I obsessed with water?

I'm 22 and growing up I remember liking water but nothing out of the ordinary. I used to prefer to bring water bottles to school instead of drinking milk or juice. When I turned 18 I got a brain injury from a bad car accident and I vividly remember crying for water in the hospital. I craved and drank water so much that doctors put me on water restrictions. Doctors did tests and thought I was fine. Water tasted like heaven to me. I felt like my taste buds orgasmed when I drank water that's how bad. I was constantly drinking water when allowed. I'm 4 year post accident and I'm still obsessed with water. Not like I was in the hospital I would've drank myself to death. Water still tastes so good to me. I am obsessed with cold water and don't drink juice, or anything. They taste gross to me. Why am I obsessed with water? Water tastes better to my taste buds and I don't think other people taste the same or everyone would be obsessed with water instead of soda and stuff.

this may be a long shot, but maybe your body was so traumatized that it wanted to make sure of your survival so water is the first thing it was sending signals for. and being in a hospital, you were also probably breathing through your mouth, which made your mouth dry and need water. plus water is refreshing, i can agree with that. i mainly drink water, besides tea, i have a huge ass water bottle, making sure to get my 64oz a day. just make sure not to overdo it because you can technically drown yourself

Check your blood sugar, steady craving for water is one of symptoms. Some neurological diseases have similar effect. However for affected people doesn't really matter if it's water, cola, tea or juice

I think there's nothing wrong in liking water that much.
