My friend ate Eukanuba because her fridge was empty and it was Sunday when groceries are usually closed. She had a 30kg bag of this dog food, that isn't cheap one. I tried few pieces because of solidarity. It tasted like dried goulash pieces without any salt and spices. I just barked more few days long than I do usually.
I once did an experiment, thinking my dog wanted what I was eating because I was eating it, rather than because of what it was. So I cooked her up a burger, sliced it up and put it in her bowl, while I ate sat at the table eating dog food.
Turns out I was right, but the burger would've been tastier.
If you look at the ingredients of dog food, though, you'll find there's nothing in it that humans can't eat; something to bear in mind in an emergency.

As for me I tried Beggin Strips before because my dog would go nuts over those things & I said they must be good so I tried one.
Were they good?
@Violetcity Although I think they made my coat a little shiny I would say they were ok & if truth be told I would of preferred real bacon.
No, but I tried cat food, and that probably tastes about the same. Tastes like burnt, dry, gross beef jerky. I regretted trying it.
