Why do people eat raw meat?

Because every human on earth who ever eats raw meat makes sure to at least freeze it first and then thaw and serve to kill those pathogens who don't survive frost. #FriedEggs

We are omnivores and fresh meat contains most vitamins. However most so called fresh meat dishes are salt cured. Steak tartare isn't cured very long but raw meat sausages like german Mettwurst or poslish Metka are cured with special curing salt and remain fresh few days long.

Eating sweet with fresh blood filled warm liver cut out of an animal you have killed is probably that most carnivorous experience that you can have. The Euphoria after a kill and taste fresh blood, this changes your mind as 12 yo. child.

I never have and don't. Meat isn't really safe to eat raw. But I've had raw fish in sushi before.

Also more nutritious to my understanding than cooked (although we have to be careful to avoid parasites and foodborne illnesses; have to eat the meat very fresh).

I suspect the main reason humans as well as our hominin ancestors like homo erectus came to favor drying, fermenting, and cooking meat is not so much for nutritious reasons but more for preservation as raw meat spoils very quickly. If we can eat it very fresh, then I think those not turned off by the idea will find it quite a treat especially with some nice condiments.

why do people eat cooked meat? same reason. mostly cause it tastes good and also because it has good nutritional value.

why cooked? the label usually read "cook before eating." need a little extra time in the oven to reach a safe temperature for eating. " NEED a SAFE temperture but raw is not safe.
