Like eggplant dip, falafel balls and hummus and vine leaves?
in my opinion, try to eat real foods. Most foods are processed to some degree. Try and eat few ingredients and natural as possible.
Bear in mind, complex carbs/vegetables, beans/legums have fibre so fill you up.
Fat, dairy and protein, refined carbs are full of calories and do not fill you up to the same degree.
So I recommend a whole foods lowish fat plant based diet. With some flexibility for your own dietary needs of course. I still eat some fish.

Unless you're trying to lose weight via e. coli, you very much WANT processed food- at least food that's undergone the process known as "washing", which UN-processed food by definition hasn't.

if you want to lose weight, the only thing that matters is calories in/calories out. you can eat freaking bananas all day, as long as you are in a calorie deficient lol

It's always best to eat whole natural foods that are not processed or even worse are over processed. Example eat home cooked oatmeal not boxed over processed cereals with a ton of sugar and preservatives added.
Its best not to eat processed food ever
The more natural the food is the better infact even use of refrigators is not a totally good thing.Processed just means it isn't in its original form. So apple slices count as processed. How it is processed is what matters.
