When you save food in a resealable bag, do you squeeze the air out of it before sealing, or do you just seal it?
I force the air out of just about any bag with food in, whether resealable or not. With bread bags in particular I get the air out then spin the bag around until the twisted part curls in on itself and the air can't get in.

I try to get the air out, but sometimes the bag gets pissed at me for squeezing too tight so it squirts me with water/juice/etc.
Air contain moisture and oxygen both are bed for food preservation. Less air in the bag means less oxygen and less moisture.
Here's a tip. If you submerge the bag in water it'll force all the air out. Just seal before the water flows in.
