A lot of people don't know how to cook like at all. Or they only know the most basic of basics and never experiment with new things.

I had a friend who would just eat chicken, rice and plain vegetables every. Single. Day. No seasoning other than some salt and pepper. She had no idea what she was missing out on until I cooked for her because she was unwell, she told me she usually just has Chicken, rice and veg so I made it for her except I roasted the vegetables instead of boiled, marinated the chicken with some garlic and Italian herb seasoning, grilled it instead of baking it, and cooked the rice correctly so it wasn't a globby mess 💀 taught her how to cook after that.
