My wife and I have 18 fruit trees, all on dwarf stock. The apple, pear and cherry have 3 varieties grafted on the same tree. One tree has peach, plum, apricot and nectarine. We have an almond, persimmon, avocado, two fig and two pomegranate. a navel orange, two Valencia orange, two improved Meyer lemon, a pink grapefruit and a Mandarin.
We have two long raised beds. Those and the trees are surrounded by deer fencing.
We have some thriving herbs - lavender, oregano, thyme, coriander, cilantro, marjoram, mint, a variety of sage, a huge rosemary bush, and some others. We grow basil in the house.
Our problem is with voles.
We grow lots of our veggies in pots and fabric grow bags to keep the voles from coming up beneath and killing the plants. We have wire fences around the ones that aren't inside the deer fence.
We live surrounded by acreage, so the wild animals - deer, ground squirrels and voles in particular - are our biggest problem.
We've had success with cantaloupe, zucchini, crook neck, acorn, butternut and spaghetti squash, peas, snap peas, green beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, chives, garlic, and carrots.
We don't use ANY chemicals but we do use come commercial fertilizer on the trees. We make our own compost, grow red worms, and supplement the compost with wood ash. Sometimes we get aged chicken, horse and/or steer manure from local people who give it away.

My sister and I have grown things in the past, but in the last few years, we haven't done any growing. We like growing cherry/grape/pear tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, rosemary, thyme, chive, and strawberries.
We used to have a pretty big garden but the pesky animals used to eat our vegetables before we got to them. I had to build wooden container gardens that are off the ground to keep them out. They all sit on our patio now. We have 3 now. I'm going to build another one next week.
We usually plant beefsteak tomatoes, yellow pear tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, cucumbers, romaine lettuce, red and yellow peppers.
I don't yet, but have plenty of room for one. I own 10 arcs of land so plenty of room at the moment only thing I get is eggs from chickens working on cows after so I'll have meat covered. I'll probably have some kind of garden one day.
Not now. I used to have kale, Swiss chard, etc. but I don't have a green thumb for actaully planting... My hand are too warm though I kinda like seedling. It's fun to see them change every day.
Just started mine. Potatoes, bell peppers and beans

My fiancée grows some Chinese vegetables in pots. After we buy a house, she will have a larger garden in ground, and I will also grow some more traditional vegetables.

no, I don’t have a garden that’s high maintenance and you always have to keep checking for bugs and make sure they’re off of it and fertilizing and raking and it’s a lot of work

Tomatoes, peppers mainly. Got a couple of melon seeds planted at the moment.
I have had a vegetable garden every summer. The last few years have been dismal. Now that my cats are gone the critters have take over the garden. I am thinking about building a fence around it.
