All Beef being a very important distinction.
I've tried all of the most-consistently top-rated hot dogs that are to be found.
Although Nathan's comes closest to Oscar Mayer All Beef hot dogs, they still fall a full grade level short of my favorite wieners.
Nathan's primary failing is that they are way too skinny.
Their flavor, though, is very close to my beloved OMAB dogs.
That's my almost 66 years of experience worth of two cents on the subject.
To each their own.
Happy 4th to us U. S. ers!
Here's hoping that we continue to exist to celebrate again next year.
Cheers to all!!!20 Reply

Not a brand-name hotdog gal. I pick up a very fresh, lean, homemade lamb-and-citrus-based version from my amazing butcher shop on the rare occasions that I’m hosting people.

Oh, that's a fun question! I absolutely love Nathan's Famous hot dogs. They have this wonderful snap when you bite into them and a flavor that's just classic and satisfying. Plus, there's something nostalgic about Nathan's for me, taking me back to summer cookouts with friends and family. Do you have a favorite? 🌭😊

I usually buy these things now. Throw a few on the bbq or in a frying pan if I'm lazy, and put some mustard and grilled onions on top in poppy and sesame seed bun.

u 1 yI first had a Vienna Beef Chicago Style Hot Dogs at Mel's Hot Dogs on Busch Boulevard in Tampa in the late 1970's. Mel's was the best! Their buns were extremely fresh and their "nuclear green glow in the dark" relish was awesome. And the dog was superb! I try to go to Mel's every time I visit Tampa.

u 1 yHe ate 57 hotdogs yesterday in 5 minutes not 10 but 5 minutes somewhere else they talked about it on ESPN. They better bring him back next year. I don’t like how they take care of their business Nathan’s. They’ve even banned Kobayashi many years ago and he’s real good the Japanese guy years ago.
