Ok, this is going to be a tough one for all of you. It's the best of the best on this poll. I love all of these, so thankfully I don't have to pick.

The Montreal Pool Room is a famous greasy spoon restaurant, located in the former red-light district in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The restaurant open since 1912 was called a "pool room", but no longer has a pool table.
The restaurant's primary offerings are:
Montreal hot dog: Steamé (steamed bun with steamed hot dog) or toasté (toasted bun with grilled hot dog)
French fries: plain or as a poutine

I wouldn't want that much diced onions on my hotdog.
- +1 y
It's not all diced onions, but is hard to see.
- +1 y
Iceburg lettuce I'm guessing? Maybe also heaps of mayo?
- +1 y
Ya I think so, but there lots of additional toppings to choose from.

Thank you for MHG!

+1 yI mean we always just called them pigs in a blanket but crescent dogs or pretzel dogs are both FREAKING amazing! 😂🤤
04 Reply- +1 y
I think croissant dogs is a much fancier name than pigs in a blanket. I love getting pretzels at the mall so I could always pick up a pretzel dog if I'm in the mood for one. It'd be hard to choose between the cheese and honey mustard for it though.
- +1 y
Oh see I’m not a fain of mustard so that would be an easy choice for me. Lol!

Thanks for the MHO!!

+1 yA traditional hotdog in a bun with lots of fried onion
There was an uproar in British tabloids a while back when an American wrapped a sausage in pastry. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40392410.amp
That croissant dog just looks like a sausage roll01 Reply- +1 y
We fry onions for hamburgers usually. On hotdogs they're just diced and raw onions. But I can see fried probably being good on a hotdog.
Definitely hotdogs 🌭
oh, and these guys right here:

Or any of the dogs from Mel's Hot Dogs in Tampa.

+1 yAs a traditionalist, I don't consider 3 of those things to be a "kind of hot dog", but a sinister variation on a bun FOR a hot dog!! The reason I'm not a big a fan of anything but A is because the other wraps tend to overwhelm the taste of the dog.
I think of "kinds of hot dogs" as all-beef, or beef/pork or brisket. My fav is a pork and beef dog with chili, slaw and yellow mustard!

+1 yI enjoy eating a good hot dog I must be of good quality. Preferably kosher hot dogs. I think my favorite is a corn dog. I also love Coney dogs. I've had croissant hot dog where I'm from we call him pigs in a poke and so is a pretzel dog. I love my hot dogs with an excellent mustard, not the plain yellow mustard. The mustard is going to be quite spicy. I eat my hot dogs at times with sauerkraut. The sauerkraut must be fresh and not from a can.
00 ReplyI don't like any of these. I used to work in a food factory that made things like this, so I know what goes in them. If you eat this crap, then you really, really don't want to know.

+1 yThe last one, but I thought they called them bagel dogs. Maybe not.

They're pretzels wrapped around the hotdog.

Now that you mention it, I have seen those at Auntie Annie's Pretzels. They look good, but they charge an arm and a leg.

+1 yLike you, I love all of them too but I'd still consider the hotdog sandwich my favorite among 'em all.
00 Reply I love all of them but a "regular" hot dog is best.
02 Reply- +1 y
I love all of them too. It'd be too hard for me to pick one if I'm honest. Thankfully I don't since this is me asking everyone else. lol

02 Reply- +1 y
I once had a saurkraut hotdog, it wasn't too bad. Usually, it's for bratwurst but not everybody likes it. I haven't even tried beefless bratwurst yet.

I like bratwurst too with mustard and saurkraut
