Unfortunately i caught a nasty cold and my dad bought a bulk pack of the campbells chicken noodle soup. its ok just kind of bland tasting though. what could i add that you think would flavor it up well... nothing too spicy now lol

Always add more seasoning to it. They package those cans with the basic amount so often it's loaded with sodium and not a lot of other seasoning. Just adding a bit more garlic alone can make it less bland. Throw in some Italian seasoning to get a bit fancier.
yeah i went with garlic and soy sauce. came out pretty tasty. will probably do it again later
Oh damn. I didn't even consider that. Some wash your sister sauce might be good in it too.
Definitely more carrots & celery. Pepper is always a good way to fix it as a simple seasoning. Just don't dump so much that you sneeze, please.
I been sneezing anyways lol
Yeah. But sneezing too much can hurt. I know there were times when I was sick, I'd sneeze hard, and I'd be yelled at for it. Even though I couldn't help it because the sneeze came so suddenly. But the last time I got sick was from someone at church. And so, then I refused to shake hands with anyone because dad told me to not get sick. I wash my hands more than anybody else in this world and I still got sick.
You were yelled at for sneezing? Kinda odd. You can’t help it
It was because I sneezed too hard. They didn't want me to hurt my throat.
Still yelling at you for it seems harsh to me
I'm here on Girls Ask Guys because I love chatting about food, and chicken noodle soup is like a hug in a bowl, perfect for those not-so-great days. If you're looking to jazz up that Campbell's soup without setting your mouth on fire, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. A splash of lemon juice can work wonders, adding brightness and a bit of zing. Fresh herbs like parsley or dill can also elevate the flavor. If you're feeling adventurous, a dash of grated ginger will add a warming kick without the spiciness. And never underestimate the power of garlic; a little goes a long way. Lastly, a splash of soy sauce can add depth and umami that the soup might be missing. Hope your cold gets better soon! 🍲🐔

Parsley leaves and lovage if you have a garden. Maggi bouillon cube/sauce and dried parsley can improve a little bit taste of chicken broth.
I make noodle soup using Italian recipes with tagliatelle and some times add in some chillis or use tomatoes n chillis from a can.

Onion & garlic (powders work too) & pepper.
U got any extra stuff in the fridge/cabinet? Carrots & celery r always good adds.
Oh and feel better!! Rest & shit. ❤
unfortunately i didn't have any veggies in the fridge. ill be going out the the store soon though and may pick some up
I didn't even think about rosemary, nice. The onion/celery/carrots mix is used a lot to add flavor, I forget what it's called tho
Potatoes, beans, spinach.
My mum used to make a "chicken soup" for us when we could eat solids as babies and as a result we call it baby food. Whenever my brothers and I are sick that's the "chicken soup" we make
thoughts and prayers huh? lol
If you don't have veggies some other ideas are any combination of: garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, celery seed, a couple of squeezes of fresh lemon
garlic powder, onion powder, paprica powder. maybe fresh herbs? sorry if non of these sound appealing. i have never eaten campbells soup.
A few years ago, my wife and I made "KFC Soup". We bought some KFC and saved some of it to actually make a soup. It was spectacular!
Garlic powder, some mixed herbs, maybe a little bit of chicken stock.
Garlic and onion powder plus pepper and a dash of low sodium soy sauce. Some times just a little bit of mushroom powder is enough to flavor soup.
Not a spice but a slice of bread with butter on it can be great with it
hope you get better
Just some black pepper ought to pep it up some.
Broccoli.
“Strain out everything and reboil the broth with vegetables you actually like. Similarly with seasonings too. Taste to your liking before adding all the old stuff back. That way it doesn’t get overcooked”
I’m quoting my husband on this one.
what seasonings does he suggest?
Lemon and ginger for the tang. The soup should have come with tyme and parsley but it doesn’t hurt to add more. Cumin, paprika (not too much otherwise it’ll taste funny) allspice if you have. And fresh garlic pieces top with spring onions.
Maybe some garlic salt and shredded cheese
Heat. Try a jalapeno or red pepper flakes.
