1 yI'm a big fan of New Glarus's Belgian Red, which is a beer that wants to be a wine when it grows up. It's VERY strongly cherry-flavored (which make sense, since it's made from cherries), and too sweet for some, but since for me "having a drink" usually means "having A drink", that's not a problem.
Unfortunately, New Glarus only does business in Wisconsin (officially to not lose the "local brewer" feel; in reality, because they don't want to deal with the ICC). Not a problem in Chicago; in Florida, though...

I occasionally order a cocktail. Rum, gin or tequila are the only liquors I like. So I might have a mai tai or margarita or something else on the menu.
I like brandy, port and dessert wines.
Mead can be a treat.
Some liqueurs are really good.
Beer doesn't thrill me, but I might have a Modelo Negra, Sapporo, Tsingtao, or some other imported beer at a restaurant with certain meals. And I enjoy the occasional stout on tap.00 Reply

1 yRight now it's cocktails and it's either amaretto sour or italian mule.

It's amaretto or limoncello mixed with ginger beer, lime juice and basil or mint, it's sour and it's very good

People's favorite alcoholic beverages can vary greatly depending on personal preferences and cultural influences. Some may enjoy a well-aged whiskey for its rich and complex flavors, while others might prefer a refreshing gin and tonic or the sophistication of a glass of fine wine. Personally, I have a soft spot for a well-crafted Negroni. Its balance of bittersweet flavors and the hint of citrus transports me to a sunlit piazza in Italy, evoking cherished memories of past culinary explorations. 🍹

1 yMoscow mules are my favourite.
I also love red wines. I usually go for Pinot noir.
And when it comes to beer, I generally prefer IPAs like Flying Monkey, Life in The Clouds, Octopus Wants to Fight, and many others.
I also like stouts like Guinness and Dragon Stout on occasion.
I'm not a fan of lighter beers at this point in my life, although Corona with a lime wedge can be nice occasionally.
Then there are standard ones like Rickards Red that are pretty decent when I can't find any of the others00 Reply 731 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. If I'm at a party where I know I have work in the morning I'll stay with Vodka as I do not suffer a hangover from it. If I'm at home I'll have a decent Cider Like Bulmers No9, Thatchers Vintage, Henry Westons British Vintage, or Aspall Imperial Cyder Harvest No. 290 these are what Americans call 'Hard' Cider, or for a change a Spirit like a Dark Navy Rum. or St-Rémy XO Brandy it depends on my mood.
If I'm out for the evening I'll a single drink usually the best cider that's available, wine with dinner, then I'd move to none alcoholic drinks for the rest of the evening.

Many other bourbons are good and even great, but for the money, I've found that my selection is the one for me.
Many other bourbons are rather lousy, too, to my taste.
But, as has been said, and with which I agree "Drink the whiskey that you like to drink the way you like to drink it."
That way, we'll all get along just fine.

Look up “Letterkenny Irish Carbomb” if you want to see the clip, I quit😂😂😂 - 1 y
@WhiteSteve
Those were some fucked-up links, all right.
WTH!!!
As far as the Letterkenny Irish Carbombs go, I'm guessing that those are mainly enjoyed by you in a raucous, party atmosphere.
Yes, no?
The times that I've partaken of similar concoctions, many years ago, those were the circumstances in which I found myself.
I'm a bourbon served neat guy these days, paired with a premium cigar.
Beer in large quantities was the nutrition of my youth.
I've lost the gut since switching to spirits.
Lol.
Cheers!

@nolabels haha, no joke, Facebook is killin’ me🤦♂️😂
It’s actually a clip from a TV show called Letterkenny, and it’s in reference to that drink, and St Patrick’s Day👍 Funny clip and a great show, I recommend it highly.
But yeah, probably wouldn’t drink a Carbomb alone, or at dinner at a restaurant😂 I’d probably get a Scotch or Bourbon, neat. Mixed drink, gin and tonic with a lime👍
I can’t do it like back in the day either, man, it’s a young man’s game😝
Sláinte!!!🍻

1 yPalm wine because it's rare! Even though I live in the tropics, I only got to try it like maybe thrice and it was so good. Because it turns into vinegar so quick. It needs to be drank immediately after harvested from the tree.
