Why is French cuisine so overrated and overhyped? People say French cuisine is the best in the world when it's nor even the best in Europe?

Sure the French make good wine and good cheese but I've tried their famous dishes such as Coq au Vin and Boeuf Bourguignon and it's really not that good! It's nothing special tbh

Coq au Vin is basically Chicken in marinated red wine and Boeuf Bourguignon is basically "beef stew

As for their pastries/vienoisseries such as croissants and pain au chocolat, I've tried them and don't really like them. Croissants taste like butter and pains au chocolat is just a pastry stuffed with chocolate inside. It's not hard to make is it? And I wouldn't consider them to be delicious or tasty compared to pastries from other countries such as cupcakes for example which are 10 times more delicious and tasty

Asian Cuisine ( Chineese, Vietnamneese, Thai and Indian cuisine) are all better, hotter, spicier, tastier and more delicious than French cuisine so the best cuisine in the world is not French but Asian cuisine

French cuisine is not even the best in Europe. Italian cuisine is.

Italian food and dishes such as: spaghetti bolognese, pasta, macarroni cheese, black risotto and pizza obviously are better than French food/dishes

Even Mexican cuisine ( which I forget to mention) is probably as good if not better than French cuisine! So why do people say French cuisine is the best?
