Mircle Whip or Mayo?
https://youtu.be/ZY_w-RS6fTs?si=IOKgaAuSu75f6VMf
I usually go with mayonnaise. My wife buys some brand of organic that's really good.
Mayo is especially good for make an aioli, like by adding lemon juice, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
It's also good in sandwiches.
But I sometimes go with Miracle Whip. It has a tangy taste that can be good on a sandwich or as a dip for grilled salmon or other fish.
Mayo.
I used to eat MW all the time until I heard of some of the stuff they put in it. Plus, Mayo has a much smoother taste to it. If I remember correctly, grandma used to mix it with melted butter!
@FunkyMonkee Delicious.
@RageBabe It sure was! But, she always claimed that all she added was yellow food colouring!
Well, it's not like we sit there with a spoon and empty the jar in one sitting. You just use it like any other mayo.
Run over?
I never saw mine coming. Motherfucker came up OFF THE ROAD from behind SPECIFICALLY to hit me!! The ONLY good thing about it was that it was right in front of the hospital but, no matter what I did, I could NOT get anybody to take me to ER literally a block away!! I had to hop over on one foot and, part of it was up a damp, steep grassy hill. He fractured my left leg and took a HUGE chunk of skin out of my left elbow!! Almost to the bone!!
I have no idea who he is! I have my suspicions but, I don't know his name. All I know is that it was a white Chevy. I'm still trying to figure out what model it was. I keep getting real close but, no cigars, yet.
@FunkyMonkee Thank God you survived, and it's never too late to sue.
@RageBabe Thank you, RB.
It'd take a good bit of investigative work and, I have a feeling the statute of limitations has long since expired. It happened Feb. 22, 1984 around 10:00 p. m.. Come to think of it, maybe it wasn't that guy. I don't think I knew him just yet. Not for another couple weeks. But that doesn't make sense because I wasn't in the cast at that point. I might have to get some kind of hypnosis to get the timeline straightened out.
@FunkyMonkee I understand.
For hard boiled eggs or for specific salads I use Hellman's mayonnaise. For sandwiches, butter or fresh cheese.
HEINZ SERIOUSLY GOOD MAYONNAISE.
I'll see if I can get you a tour of the factory.
Mayonnaise is my preference over Miracle Whip, thanks to its rich and creamy flavor. One memorable brand that stands out for me is Kewpie from Japan. It offers an umami twist with its slightly sweeter and tangier taste. It's perfect for adding a delightful depth to dishes, from sandwiches to salads. 🍶
Two guys in prison.
Dongie: What did they get you with?
Tom: Triple homicide. You?
Dongie: Making fun of AI.
Tom: Damn, you're a bad-ass!
No there NOT!! @nawtee_me, 😅

Sandy and Muffin needed their share of the pillow. But when it got bitter cold, they traveled to the land down under. It was so funny. They kept bumping their heads up against the covers to make their way down there. The pillow wasn't any fun when it was cold. Dogs are way smart.

Best foods. But a few months back they came out with their new dark plastic jar that holds the mayonnaise. And if you look at the bottom of it it looks green like it's mold
They said that they were going to change the bottle back to clear but I haven't seen them do it yet still for me it's the best mayonnaise
Mayo. I make my own.
And unless you're a fan of heart disease stop eating anything with high fructose corn syrup in it. Just because it tastes sweet doesn't mean you should consume it. Ethylene glycol, the main ingredient in antifreeze, tastes sweet. It'll kill you.
Mayonnaise, and I don't use shop bought mayonnaise. I find that its quicker to make my own as I need it and it tastes better.
I tried Miracle Whip when I lived in the US, I gave me hives and tasted foul.
Fail-Proof Home-made Mayonnaise from my families home recipes.
Home-made mayonnaise is such a treat. It’s very simple to make, too. There are a few ways to make mayonnaise. My preferred methods are using our food processor with the small bowl attachment or an immersion blender with a tall jar. You can use a blender or make it completely by hand, but I don’t find them as fail-proof.
You Will Need
1 large egg
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt, or more to taste
1 cup (240ml) safflower oil or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, optional
Directions
I use a Bamix stick blender to make mayonnaise in small batches so use the method at the bottom of this post
Prepare Equipment
If you have a large food processor, use the smaller bowl attachment that came with your processor so that the bowl is not too large for the amount of mayonnaise this recipe makes. Not using the smaller bowl can prevent the mayonnaise from emulsifying since the mixture will not have enough contact with the blade.
To Make Mayonnaise
1 Add egg to the small bowl of a food processor and process for 20 seconds. Add the mustard, vinegar, and salt. Process for another 20 seconds.
2 Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, turn the food processor on then begin to slowly add the oil in tiny drops until about a quarter of the oil has been added (this is critical for proper emulsification).
3 When you notice that the mixture is beginning to thicken and emulsify, you can be a little less strict. With the processor on, continue to add it slowly, but increase to a very thin stream instead of drops of oil.
4 When all of the oil has been added, scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl and process for an extra 10 seconds. Taste mayonnaise for seasoning then add salt, lemon juice or extra vinegar to taste.
5 If the mayo seems too thin, slowly stream in more oil with the processor running until thick. If it is too thick, add a teaspoon or two of cold water.
Immersion Blender Mayo (Alternate Method)
An immersion blender makes this so quick! Add all of your mayonnaise ingredients (including the oil) to a tall jar, then turn on the immersion blender, slowly moving it up and around to incorporate the ingredients and blend into a thick mayo. Remove the blender, taste, and then add additional salt or lemon juice to taste.
It's not that hard if you have a stick blender like a Bamix, it is one of the demonstrations they do. See this video;

I use both Miracle Whip and Hellmann's mayonnaise.
Which one I'll use depends upon the other ingredients of whatever I'm eating, or sometimes simply the mood I'm in, as to which is more appropriate and to my liking.
Mayo... and I make my own out of egg yellows and olive oil... I even season it.
This is crazy... I had to recently block my own mother on facebook for this same question. I picked Mayo and she started flipping out on me. I guess my sister said something about liking mayo over the whip... I thought my Mom was talking about cool whip and she started trippin on me about it. Anyways...
yeah I think it's healthier... they put all kinds of crap in anything bought at the store as preservatives. I can't even drink certain beers because of that... headache material in a can or bottle. Pick the wrong stuff and it will dehydrate the shit out of you. They go overboard with that shit. Like with certain spices or salt... they add silicate to keep it from caking into clumps... just like that stuff in the "DO NOT EAT" packets that I stuff into a bag of jerky. I don't even know how that is legal... but it is somehow. I just wanted to rant about some shit... sorry. 😂 🤣
Miracle Whip for salads (potato, macaroni, tuna fish... ) Kraft Mayo for sandwiches.
I have never tried Miracle Whip. I always use Lite mayonnaise - prefer Kraft Lite
I grew up on Miracle Whip, then I found Mayo, and haven't had MW in years.
Hellman's at first, until I found Dukes is better.
Miracle whip tastes like pickle relish to me , it’s kinda gross.
Hellmann’s mayonnaise all day every day every time I have a sandwich
Miracle whip. I use it in pasta salad instead of mayo. It tastes so much better.
Anyone that uses organic free range eggs. Stay away from companies that use gmo like Heinz.
Mayonnaise is foul, I never use the stuff. I'll use buttermilk ranch dressing instead
Definitely mayonnaise. Miracle Whip is horrid.
Blue Plate mayonnaise, that may be a more local brand.
I gotta go with the mayo.
I get the store brand, and save some money.
No, this is just a local store.
So they aren't the same thing?
I always thought MW was just some bootleg mayo where people tried to create their own and got creative, kinda like all the crap you find in stores like dollar tree, all knockoffs and shit lol
Miracle Whip is really tangy. It's made for salad.
Lol.
Mayo for me.
Hellman's Mayo of course!
real mayo
Shit whip is vile. Dukes mayo only. Or homemade.
Neither.
Nope.
Mayo of course
