1 yI was brought up from birth that eating at home is less expensive, healthier and just all around better for you. That said we seldom ate anything some family member didn't cook. Even when on my own and working at a restaurant the vast majority of what I ate I made from my apartment. Fortunately if everyone did that I'd likely not have a great job where I have been since I was 15 and a buss girl.
Today I have a husband who is also a good cook and would much rather eat at home than go out and with 4 kids saves time and saves money. I do often bring home the raw product from work and we prepare it at home.

Eat at home not always healthier and not always better. Everything is depends on what you eat and get.
- 1 y
Well yes it depends on what you prepare but the average eat at home family eats the proper foods that cover our health needs and wants.

Yeah, i watched a lit video of American mom cooking for prepare kids meal who are worse than Asian bento we get from street vendors. Everything processed and frozen fruits.
- 1 y
Your little video certainly doesn't make it a common thing for parents to do. Also depending on where you live frozen fruits are the only fruits available that aren't canned and full of sugar etc.
- 1 y
That’s why i said from the first it depends on what you eat and get. And if household consumers can only get frozen fruits because only that available, i’m sure it’s also only that kind of foods what restaurants can offer them. And you can’t say what i said is just because a little video i watched. But in the fact, that between 60% and 90% of the American diet is made up of processed foods. While most others countries including Europe countries and Asia consume it only about 16%-50%.

1 yNo I never did. Why? Because you never know if out door dinner whoever cooked the meal wash their hands or if the food was cooked in a clean environment. Not only that I watch a video about a burger been out for a whole month and it never had mold. And even chick fil laid food stay the same for a whole month. I will always say home cooked meals are the best well that just my opinion. I always cook at home. It's healthy it's cheaper.

1 yeat out maybe 30% of the time. We love food, enjoy it. So we go find best we can.
Wasn't always like that in early life... I went cheap then.
Quality is important today as so much is low quality, especially in USA. Taiwan and asia has much better choices, although maybe not as much diversity. This is all generalities from experiences.

1 yI don't get taken out frequently anymore. One I have found that since covid the quality has gone down and I also cook better almost always so I see no point. I also enjoy cooking. It helps reset me too after a long day of work by taking my mind off things.

Eating out or ordering takeout adds spice to life, but in my culinary adventures, I savor both homemade meals and dining experiences. I often hit local spots to explore new dishes, but home is where I experiment with recipes inspired by my travels. This balance satisfies my curiosity and keeps my palate excited 😊. Enjoying a sushi experience in a cozy restaurant or whipping up homemade pasta brings equal joy.

1 yI’ll eat out at a restaurant or have a takeaway maybe once or twice a month. It’s nice to have a change and a treat once in a while, as I live alone and only myself to please, it’s something I enjoy doing very much. The rest of the time I will cook, I enjoy cooking a variety of meals and try to keep it as simple and healthy as possible.
