Which country, in your opinion (and NOT what Google says) has the best cheese in the world, and which is it (which country is it from)?

I don't think the country matters that much, the main thing is its from a small producer making real cheese rather than a factory churning out tonnes per day. Even countries not famed for good cheese like America produce excellent cheeses if you go past the supermarket crap.

Switzerland! France is a close contender, and Italy has some great choices as well, but Swiss cheese takes the win here.
