So just for fun google "best xxxx food" eg best French food for your country or If your American substitute your state.
Post the FIRST image google comes up with. Do you agree with it's opinion

In the North Pole, it's warm gingerbread cookies, fresh from the oven, spicy and sweet, just like the punishments doled out by dear old Santa, the kinkiest Saint of all. You see, life at the North Pole is less about sugarplums dancing in my head and more about being Santa's submissive little slut, always on the naughty list, where I belong. My safe word, eggnog, is hardly a relief, for even when I cry it out, the torture simply transforms into a different form of festive torment. Oh, what joyous fun it is to be Santa's personal plaything, his little elf pet, forever bound to his every red-nosed whim.
In this winter wonderland, punishments come in many flavors—floggings as light as snowflakes, nipple clamps tighter than the most miserly of Scrooges, and an occasional coal (not the edible kind) up the chimney with care. There's the scalding wax from Christmas candles, enough to make one choke, just like when Rudolph guides Santa through the foggiest of nights. And let's not forget the icy dildo, a candy-cane cold and hard, plunging deep like a sleigh through the snow, ensuring a not-so-merry Christmas for this elf.
Oh, the reindeer games we play, roles reversed as I'm tied up all day, my ankles bound to my wrists, the tree of Christmas adorned with me, a living ornament, gagged with a bauble in my mouth, silenced and unable to merrily sing.
But alas, despite my grumblings, I must admit that there's something strangely thrilling about being stuffed with treats, every hole filled with candy canes, a non-stop Yuletide gala. So, if you must know, the best dish here at the Pole, it's not so much a meal as it is a ordeal, is Santa's bucket loads of coom, which gags me as he slaps me across the face.

The first one was fondue but I chose a better picture because it wasn't that good :)
I like most of the swiss traditional foods fondue, raclette, chocolate, rösti, älplermaggaroni there's a few I'm not the biggest fan of but it's ok :)
If I could chose only one dish to represent Switzerland I'd chose raclette over fondue because I think it's tastier and also more versatile. You can put like bacon or little sausages and stuff on top of the oven where there's usually a little grill and you can have potatoes with different side dishes and stuff pickles and little onions and whatever else. You can put a bunch of different spices on top too. Also it's surprisingly not as filling as you think I ate 11 cheeses and 10 sausages once with potatoes and side dishes and I was full but I was not like sick or unwell I just felt good :)
Fondue and raclette, approved ! 🧀
England, of course, Fish and Chips would be at the top of the list. I agree it's one of our best; it's great comfort food.
@purplepoppy Thank you for the MHO!
According to google we eat fluffy dogs.
Ah! Korea
Huh? Slovensko?
As a culinary explorer, when I google "best Italian food," the first image often showcases something like pizza or pasta. It's hard to argue against such a classic choice, though my personal favorite would have to be a beautifully crafted risotto. The creamy texture paired with rich flavors is a delight. However, Italy has a treasure trove of dishes, including tiramisu for dessert, that are equally deserving of the spotlight. 🇮🇹🍝

I tried googling and got crap answers.
I'll go with something delicious and uniquely American. It's available across the entire country but there are different regional styles, such as Central Texas, Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Hawaii, California Central Coast, Chicago, Kentucky, Georgia, ...
In fact, it's basically everywhere. I've had Texas, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Carolina ribs in California where I live.
A half rack of BBQ baby back ribs with steak fries, BBQ baked beans and cole slaw. Extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
Google doesn't give a 'best food', but here's mine;
Cumbria and the Lakes
Top foods
Easter Ledge Pudding
Easter Ledge is a term given to young wild leaves, mostly bistort or dandelion and nettles. These are boiled and made into a purée enriched with butter, chopped boiled eggs and boiled barley, which is then pressed.
Windermere Char
This freshwater fish is pretty unique to the Lakes, particularly Windermere. bake the fish simply and pair it with seasonal vegetables, or serve it the fillets cooked and carefully flaked, then made into a paste.
Herdwick Hogget
Cumbria's native sheep is officially recognised as a world-class breed and has attained PDO status. They roam the fells, foraging amongst the wild grasses and heathers, shaping the very landscape of the Lake District and are central to the local cuisine. Often the animals are left to mature to the point that their meat is no longer recognised as lamb and instead is referred to as hogget, that's a sheep aged between one and two years.
Cumberland Sausage
Not just a favourite in Cumbria but across the nation, this is another food icon that has gained PDO status. Local butchers have their own interpretations of this much-loved sausage, however, they all have spicy notes and high pork content in common, as well as often being served in a long coil.
Grasmere Gingerbread
It's a cross between biscuit and cake that comes from a recipe which is faithfully reproduced but remains top-secret.
Morecambe Bay Shrimps
They are simply prepared by ‘potting’ with melted butter seasoned with mace, a little cayenne and grated nutmeg. Cool quickly in a refrigerator, but don’t forget to warm a little before serving with good brown bread.
Cumberland Rum Nicky
This simple dessert of shortcrust pastry, dates and brown sugar is elevated to the 'something special’ category with the addition of dark rum.
Cumberland is pretty much our go to sausage. Familiar with artic char but only from books, never heard of windermere char. For the benefit of non UK people a mere is a body of water left over from the ice age its why you get char in the uk
Lol what's the brownish black thing in this Welsh result?
Okay, I have two different results, here is the result for "best french food" and I agree with this opinion !

However, I don't agree with the result when requesting for best french food phrased in french. Here are some snails erk:
I got a plate of snails when I searched for best French food too
The snail one is the first one that came up when I Googled "Frances" too. I don't like the picture thing, because when I searched mine the first one that came up was a giant platter of various foods. I think it's better type it into Google search and see what AI tells you
@purplepoppy Hey Poppy, what about smoked black cobra snake meat? Do you like that and do you cook it over a campfire? Is that good for you and you can also eat the head of it and the actual face jaws and teeth along with the tongue, but I would recommend eating that raw that part of it good eating yummy 😋
Cobras are a bit tricky to get hold of over here
You can find them in the Everglades in Florida. I can capture one with my bare hands and bring it to you. I’ll have to fly it over though in a cage and when I arrive at Heathrow airport in London, England you can pick me up I’ll have the snake in my possession in a cage. Then we can eat it for dinner my treat and we’ll have a nice campfire. Let me know when you’re ready. 😋
I'll make you a smokie. You hang a sheep from a tree and cook it burning the wool off with a flaming torch
Oh my God your questions are always so damn hard LOL
I'm not looking it up you can't make me
You can't make me I can take a wild guess though but I don't really care to I want to make this all about me so
According to my Google I love steak baked potato artichoke salad and I mean salad with everything in it steak cooked just right cuz my body craves protein a lot of times I love artichokes and then a big giant piece of cheesecake that's my America that's my my house America I guess in my b e l l y America
And the reason why I would rather not look it up and just tell you mine is cuz I'm hungry right now and what you had on your picture makes me hungry
Well in general I'm gonna say for me it's the all American Cheeseburger, followed by BBQ ribs, Hot dogs used to be really popular but they've become so unhealthy that they've dropped in popularity. We have so many foods to pick from, especially when considering foods that have migrated from other countries. We have restaurants and takeout specializing in foods like Mexican, English, Irish Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Italian, French, German just to name a few. What other country offers the choices we do? It's hard to single out a best food with such a verity to pick from and every area of the country has its favorite and its specialties. Not to mention how subjective the option is based on personal preference and availability. I just gave my opinion from my limited prospective.

Strangely, that's not in the list of the 24 best German foods I got the image from! It's a nice meal.
In Canada, I would assume the most popular national foods are the poutine, the Caesar drink which is called a Bloody Mary outside Canada, and the dessert they call beaver tails which is a pizza shaped dessert with cinnamon flavoured bread and sugar icing and chocolate or candies instead of pepperoni or veggie which is what you would find on a normal pizza.
Shrimp n Grits

Actually, Google didn't give this choice, but Bing did.
Every time I hear "grits", I think of "My Cousin Vinny"
Going off the AI answer, it's the "Hamburger". Of course

For California I got the "Santa Maria Tri-Tip", which oddly enough I've never heard of
DAMNIT! I didn't realize there were clear instructions to do it on image search! DAMNIT!
I disgress. My method is more accurate.
Well being half British half Scottish I had two to research
Cullen Skink
Scotland is British.
Cullen sink is quite nice but it's hard to get decent smoked haddock these days to make it. The supermarket stuff is rubbish.
Totally, especially over here in the states, they sell garbage lol.
I don't even need to Google it, I just know that many non Indian's treat Butter chicken with garlic naan as the only thing in Indian cuisine.
Schnitzel, Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, spätzle, bread, pretzel, beer.
But there are so many variations, for different regions.
I got precisely the same as you @purplepoppy The Full English Breakfast.
Having lived and worked in some 14 different countries, (Born English now naturalized USA) I'm not sure I can which is my countries BEST FOOD. -- However, I think Indian food from a London restaurant take a lot of beating -- Also a good British full breakfast is pretty good. BBQ steaks here in the USA are great too.
Homeland porridge, last place Asian FOOD in general (Hong Kong), now IKEA meatballs lol and some weird fish dish neither of which I would have but also Oatly which I would
I don't think Google knows sh! t.. Google says Canadas signature food is poutine
Roast lamb has been declared Australia's national dish in a major poll, but personally, I can't stand it.
I got barbecue as the most mentioned for the US.
steak 🥩 And of course Americans homemade traditional Thanksgiving all the works 🦃
In America we'll just steal your cuisine and make it worse and cancerous and extremely expensive.
Full English, not bad if you drop the tomato and beans and put some blackpudding on there
GaG won't optimise the picture
I'd say here in Kansas City is it's barbecue
Kebab is famous here. If you never ate it you are missing out.
UK is full of kebab shops
It's freshly carved @Abbycado
Pizza 🍕🍔 cheeseburgers
Bangers and mash 🌭 🥔
Bacon, sausage, fried egg & haggis
