How does the beginning of my venti sized soup look?

I used 8 jumbo sized carrots and plan on roasting the carrots until they become 1/2 or 1/3 their size cause my mom says carrots shrink when you roast them in salt and oil. I used 4 times the number I usually do so roasting might take 2-6 times longer than normal which is why I’m on break right now.
