As a kid, I looked at them as some spectacle for my own eyes, I wasn't registering them as living creatures at all.
As a teen, I think I didn't care at all about lobsters, whatever their location.
As an adult, things got really more complicated, I'm pretty sure a lobster doesn't have the brain I have but what does it mean, from a lobster's perspective? What does it feel? I have no answers and that's why I feel bad, yes. Because there is a "what if" here...
I remember as a kid seeing the lobsters in the tank and thinking “awww”. Never told what dark twisted fate they have….
Now when I look past one I have mixed emotions like, “oh… how…. cool?”
At least they had a tank to look and explore their surroundings.. I worked at a restaurant where they left live lobsters in their refrigerator in the dark so they can cook them fresh
Feeling sorry for those lobsters would be like feeling sorry for that nice juicy steak I had for supper on the weekend.
I understand that sentiment; it can indeed be a bit disheartening to see lobsters in those tanks. My first experience witnessing this was in a small coastal town known for its seafood delicacies. It was quite an eye-opener to comprehend where the delicious lobster bisque originated. While it may seem somber, many argue it's a part of ensuring freshness in seafood. I pick lobster from those cases all the time. I love the taste of lobster
I suppose, but aren't some lady lobsters hot?
That depends on who that lobster voted for.
